Gegenstand der Erfindung -ist eine Gasschutzmaske aus schmiegsamem,
undehnbarem Baustoff mit am Rand des Maskenkörpers befestigtem Dichtungsrahmen,
die in einheitlicher Größe ausgeführt wird und zur gasdichten Anpassung an alle
Kopfgrößen geeignet ist. Dieser Vorteil soll gemäß der Erfindung dadurch erreicht
werden, daß der Dichtungsrahmen, der bei den bekannten Gasschutzmasken aus undehnbarem
Baustoff, z. B. Gummistoff oder Leder, besteht, aus einem Baustoff hergestellt wird,
der sich strecken läßt, also z. B. aus dehnbarem Plattengummi. Um den Dichtungsrahmen
dehnen zu können, ist es gleichzeitig notwendig, daß der schmiegsame Stoff des Randes
des Maskenkörpers der Dehnung folgen kann. Zu diesem Zweck ist bei der Befestigung
des Maskenkörpers am Dichtungsrahmen auch der Rand des Maskenkörpers nachgiebig
gemacht, indem Fältchen in den Rand des Maskenstoffes eingelegt sind. Der Dichtungsrahmen
kann in seiner gesamten Länge, also über Stirn und Wangen, dehnbar sein. In den
meisten Fällen genügt es aber, wenn nur der von Schläfe zu Schläfe über Wangen und
Kinn verlaufende Teil des Rahmens dehnbar ist. Für einen gasdichten Sitz der Maske
ist es ferner vorteilhaft, wenn der Dichtungsrahmen an der dem Kinn anliegenden
Stelle eine senkrecht zur Rahmenebene verlaufende, der Form des Kinnes entsprechende
