Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kondensationsprodukten aus Harnstoff und Formaldehyd In dem Patent 563 037 ist ein Verfahren unter Schutz gestellt, bei dem die Kondensation von Harnstoff oder Harnstoffderivaten unter Zusatz von Säuren erfolgt. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß es von besonderem Vorteil ist, an Stelle der Säuren solche Körper sauren Charakters zu wählen, die selbst die Eigenschaft besitzen, mit Formaldehyd sich zu Kondensationsprodukten zusammenzuschließen, wie beispielsweise Phenol, Naphthol, Kasein u. dgl. Man erhält hierdurch Kondensationsprodukte, die keine artfremden Bestandteile, wie z. B. Mineralsäuren, enthalten, was bei Verwendung der Kondensationsprodukte zu Lacken von Bedeutung sein kann, aber auch ganz allgemein für die Eigenschaften der starren Kondensationsprodukte bestimmend ist.
