Description
Process for cleaning and cooling phenol-containing generator gases The Cleaning and cooling of phenol-containing generator gases causes difficulties in this respect than phenol-containing wastewater occurs that is not discharged into public waters can be, and also impurities are contained in the gases that are below condense and solidify at certain temperatures and thereby blockages in Cause apparatus and lines.
In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the invention has the task put to conduct the operation in such a way that on the one hand that from the gases during cooling accruing water is consumed in the system itself and on the other hand the one below Components that solidify at certain temperatures have already been washed out, if the gas takes on lower temperatures.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that in the Cooling and purification of gases containing phenol in stages that pumped around in the circuit First stage irrigation water that is produced after the tar has been freed from the gas indirectly acting aftercooler accumulating gas water is added. So it will the raw gas is pre-cooled with the water, which condenses from the gases in the post-cooling.
With pre-cooling, the cooling water is evaporated here the sensible heat of the gas (i.e. a conversion of this into latent heat of the water vapor) and a temperature reduction of this gas-vapor mixture to close to the dew point Understood.
The pre-cooling can be carried out by sprinkling the gas where the water comes into contact with the gas in coarse drops and to to achieve an intensive effect with the relatively small effective surface, is pumped around in the circuit through the cooler. But the same effect can also occur under Avoid pumping can be achieved by injecting the water into the gas where it is atomized into the finest droplets and thereby the effective surface is significantly enlarged.
It has become known a gas generating system in which the gas also cooled in stages and the water flowing out of the last cooler partially in the first cooling stage is returned. But this is in the last stage directly cooled, so that the water condensing from the gases with the cooling water mixes, whereby the amount of phenol-containing wastewater is increased considerably. It So the gas condensing from the gases does not become water alone as in the process the invention returned to the first cooling stage; as a result, here is always there is an excess of wastewater that must be discharged from the system. So precisely what the invention wants is not achieved here, nor is it aims. It is similar with another known method for Cooling and cleaning of coke oven gas. Here, in the first stage, pumping takes place of the gas water. in the circuit through a separator, cooler and the template Gas is cooled and tar is removed at the same time, and in the final cooling it becomes Gas with gas water also pumped around in a circle, which is temporarily gas water from the first stage is added, brought to the final temperature. Here too it is it is not possible to prevent the accumulation of wastewater at all, rather it has to be permanent a certain amount of gas water can be discharged from the system.
In the case of other cooling systems, the wastewater generated in the system is used cooled by evaporation; this creates fumes and unpleasant smells the environment, which is just as inadmissible as the discharge of the phenol-containing Waste water in public waters and sewer systems and also by the invention is avoided.
To carry out the method, the invention uses known ones Facilities, e.g. B. multi-part trickle cooler in which gas is cooled and the gas generator wind is saturated and preheated.
Depending on the type of coal to be gasified, i. H. according to their Moisture content and thus the amount of gas water produced during cleaning, this basic idea can be extended accordingly.
In the case of a coal with a low water content, e.g. B. coal is sufficient a system built according to the basic idea just presented, around the described To eliminate evils.
But if the coal to be processed has a higher moisture content, -d. H. accordingly, the amount of water in operation is greater, between the Tar washing and the aftercooling switched on an intermediate cooling, whereby this is here accruing gas water in a manner known per se to saturate the generator wind used and thus eliminated.
A trickle cooler can also be used in place of the indirect aftercooler step. The cooling water draining from this trickle cooler is then, if it is not is fed to the pre-cooling, recooled and reused. So it arises a circuit of the cooling water through the recooler of the aftercooling and a tube cooler for the circulating water. Fresh water can also be added to the cooling water for the generator gas or external wastewater is added if the cooling of the generator gas accumulating wastewater is not sufficient for the saturation of the generator wind.
In the accompanying figures are exemplary embodiments of the invention shown schematically, namely Fig. i shows the simplest version in which two-stage cooling is sufficient, Figure 2 shows a version with intermediate cooling of the gas and utilization of the resulting water for wind saturation, Fig. 3 an embodiment in which the tube cooler of the previous embodiment is replaced by a trickle cooler is replaced.
The process in the individual versions is then as follows: The gas generated in the gas generator a (Fig. I) enters the trickle cooler b and is sprinkled with water here and washed and cooled in the process. The cooling water laden with dust and high-boiling components runs out of the cooler into the septic tank c, where the impurities settle, and from here is fed back into the cooler through the pump d and the line e. Part of the cooling water is taken up by the gas in this cycle. After the gas in the tar washer f has been de-tarred, this is then separated out again in the tube cooler g and returned by the pump h through the line i to the precooler b . In the embodiment according to Fig.2, a double trickle tower is connected between the tar washer f and the tube cooler g, in the upper chamber k of which the gas is cooled by sprinkling with water; the water heated here is passed through the siphon line m in. the lower chamber n, through which the generator wind is pressed, which is heated and saturated in a known manner and is passed through the line o into the gas generator. The water not absorbed by the wind is returned to the cooling chamber k from the saturation chamber n by means of the pump p through the line q, so that a water cycle is created in this two-stage cooler.
In the design according to Fig. 3, the tube cooler g (Figs. I and 2) is replaced by a trickle cooler y, which is placed on the intermediate cooler k as the last cooling stage for the gas. The gas thus exits the intercooler k directly into the final cooler r and is also sprinkled with water here, which is cooled back in the circuit in the tubular cooler s and returns to the cooler r through the line t . Part of the water in the final cooler r is returned to the pre-cooler through line i.
Example The gasification of hard coal with io °! O H20 and a calorific value of 7,000 units produces around 4 nm $ generator gas / kg coal. These contain about zoo g water vapor or 50 g water vapor per 1 mg generator gas, which is composed of the pit moisture, smoldering water and undecomposed steam. The gas now emerges from the generator at a temperature of around 65o ° C and is sprinkled with circulating water in the pre-cooler. Here, the temperature of the gas is lowered by evaporation of part of the cooling water, the gas itself enriches itself with water vapor, and according to the sensible heat to be destroyed it absorbs 0.37 kg of steam per cbm of gas, i.e. 4 # per kg of coal 0.37 - 1.48 kg H20. This water absorption of the gas corresponds to a final gas temperature of about 73 ° C. To gasify 1 kg of hard coal, about 2.65 nmg of air are required. If one calculates with a saturation temperature of the incoming air of 15 ° and of the air entering from the saturator and into the generators of 58 °, then about 0.42 kg of water vapor is required per kg of coal.
The cooled generator gas of around 30 ° contains 0.035 kg of water vapor, i.e. 0.14 kg of water vapor per kg of coal. The amount of water absorbed in the pre-cooling process of 0.420 kg H2O; nms or r.68 kg H2O / kg coal, reduced by 0.14 kg, i.e. 1.54 kg H2O / kg coal, is excreted. 0.25 kg of this is used for wind saturation, so that after the tube cooler there are still 1.5 kg. Since 1.48 kg of water per kg of coal have to evaporate in the pre-cooling, so 0.265 kg of fresh water or other waste water have to be added to the circuit per kg of coal.
