Während bei den bisher bekannten, zu ein- oder mehrfarbigem Druck bestimmten Cylinderpressen der bezw. die Farbcylinder immer am Maschinengestell -angeordnet wurden, so dafs dieselben einen ziemlich beträchtlichen Raum beanspruchten, werden bei vorliegender Erfindung die Farbcylinder an dem sogenannten Fundament selbst befestigt, so dafs sie den Hin- und Rückgang des letzteren mitmachen. Sobald nun das Fundament mit dem Farbcylinder F¹ sich in der Richtung des Pfeiles I zu bewegen beginnt, wird der Nocken n¹ den Daumen s¹ mit sich ziehen und somit durch Vermittelung der Sperrklinke k¹ eine Drehung der Walze w^l herbeiführen. Rückgang der Farbcylinder stattfindet, so ist es klar, dafs die Walze w^x beständig mit neuer Farbe aus dem Farbkasten E¹ versehen werden mufs, und dafs also die Massewalze v¹ bei jedesmaliger Berührung der Walze w¹ frische Farbe empfängt , welche sie beim Abrollen auf dem Farbcylinder .F¹ diesem mittheilt, so dafs letzterer, wenn er die Massewalze v^l verläfst, die Auftragwalzen t. . . t³ später mit frischer Farbe versehen kann. Es ist in der Fig. 3 nur die eine Hälfte der Presse gezeichnet , da die andere Hälfte vollständig ebenso construirt ist. Der Farbcylinder F¹ empfängt seine Farbe aus dem Farbkasten E¹ und der Farbcylinder F aus dem Farbkasten E, welche beide Kästen mit verschiedenen Farben gefüllt sind, so dafs die eine Hälfte der Druckform mit diesen beiden Farben, die andere Hälfte der Druckform mit den in den beiden anderen Farbkasten befindlichen Farben versehen wird. Auch bei dieser Ausführung der Presse sind die Massewalzen mittelst Rollen auf Schienen geführt, so dafs sie genau, wie vorhin beschrieben, nur den Theil der Druckform bezw. die Schriftsätze färben, welcher für die betreffende Farbe bestimmt ist.
