Description
Ability to sample albums, fine cardboard boxes, leather goods, etc. The present invention relates to a method for patterning albums, fine cardboard boxes, Leather goods and the like. Such samples have previously either been printed or recorded by hand. or painted on, finally glued on and embroidered. Of all this work, sticking is generally the easiest. However, care must be taken when sticking the pattern so that it does not Traces of glue spoil the pattern. The glue also has a throw at times and waves of the glued-on pattern result, and finally, glued-on ones tend to Pattern to detach oneself from the ground, especially at the corners, which are then straighten up.
The invention consists in that in the substrate to be patterned Incisions are provided and drawn through these colored ribbons in such a way that both ends are on the back of the pattern base to which they are attached.
This type of sampling has the merit of great simplicity, a The pattern is not disfigured by adhesive, as this is at most is used on the back. The detachment of the pattern tapes from the ground is prevented by attaching the ribbon ends to the back of the pattern. Since the Slots are arranged at intervals, they have no such weakening of the pattern ground As a result, cracks can form from slot to slot. The pattern itself can be determined in detail by various arrangements of the slots and use of ribbons of all colors perform in extraordinarily varied ways.
Passing colored ribbons through slits of the one to be patterned Basic material is used in garments (tartan skirts); already known. As play work for children one also knows paper weaving, where for the purpose of making a Paper mosaic strips of colored paper through slits in a different-colored background be pulled through, but because of the braid-like character of this work the slots are so close together that cracks can occur. Finally is It has also already been proposed to use band-shaped patterns made of colored metal foils to produce, the edges of which are turned over on the front, so that the other colored Back side in connection with the front side results in a colored pattern effect. Instead of turning over the edge, you can also put a special film over the. edge wrinkles. This process is naturally used for the sampling of albums and fine cardboard boxes and leather goods are not very suitable. In particular, it remains deficient that the attachment of the tape is done on the front of the substrate.
A special version of the new process for the purpose of manufacture a zigzag band-shaped pattern is that same Clearly spaced groups of two oblique and parallel cuts are provided and through the two cuts of each group a further band Ribbons from one incision of one group to an incision of an adjacent one Group to be drawn. In this way a ribbon-shaped mosaic of strong is obtained plastic effect. For fastening the straps and their ends on the back a so-called dry adhesive is used according to the invention.
The method according to the invention is illustrated on the drawing. FIG. 1 shows a plan view of a folder cover, the bands used being shown in full and in dashed lines .
Fig.2 shows a plan view of the same pattern, with the ribbons are shown as far as they can be seen on the front.
Here, too, the ribbons are only shown as far as they are on the front are visible.
When executing according to all three figures, the pattern is -im Zigzag band-shaped mosaic chosen. In the cover i are in a horizontal position Row -Groups of slots .2 provided. The slots: 2 of each group run obliquely and parallel to each other, and the groups are equal to each other Distance; as well as the distances between the slots forming a group are the same. It are now pulled through the two slits 2 of each group of tapes 3, as follows: that their ends are on the back. Because two ribbon-shaped equal and parallel Patterns made are an upper and a lower row of parallel slots 2 provided and the tapes 3 inserted through the slots in both rows. The ribbon-shaped Patterning is now formed in that each group and through a slot 2 a band 4 through the opposite slot 2 of the next adjacent group is drawn, the ends of which are also on .der back of the ceiling i. the Ribbons 3 and 4 are advantageously of different colors. In this way two emerge band-shaped patterns, which are denoted by 5 in FIG.
Fig. 3 illustrates a further development of the pattern by addition of some tapes as is easy to understand.
