Description
Process for the extraction of lump peat and peat coke It is known that from the air-dried peat, the drying process too very solid pieces, the so-called peat soils, shrunk together, a high quality can win solid lump peat. However, if the peat is dried on a machine Ways by pressing with the addition of peat dust, you get a pressed material that not without further ado for the production of lumpy peat and lumpy peat coke suitable. The pressed material achieved by the Preßv process is not a uniform mass like the formed sod peat. Rather, the material to be pressed consists of a mixture of moistened peat dust and drained moist raw peat.
The two components of the pressed material differ in both their water content as well as their physical condition. The damp raw peat particles are more water-containing than the moist peat dust. The latter is only superficial moistened while the raw peat particles are also still moist inside. For this Basically, the wet dust is granular and the drained raw peat soft and plastic remained.
As a result of the different nature of the components it shrinks the material to be pressed does not come together into solid pieces when drying, as is the case with air-dried ones Sod peat is the case. Rather, the material to be pressed disintegrates into its own during drying Components. This enables the production of lump peat and lump coke from pressed material made impossible. 'The invention makes it possible to contain those contained in the pressed material to process dewatered pieces of raw peat into lump peat and lump coke. That Method consists .darin that after sieving the granular peat dust from the crumbled compacted material, the remaining pieces of raw peat processed for themselves. Through extensive. The dewatered pieces of raw peat are kneaded and mixed formed into a paste-like mass.
The procedure is carried out as follows, with reference to the dewatering procedure of the raw peat is taken into account, as the recovery of the peat dust is secured.
First of all, the material to be pressed is crushed to such an extent that it is broken down into its constituent parts disintegrates, namely into fine-grained, moistened peat dust and in coarse-grained, drained raw peat. The exposed dust is then removed from the dewatered pieces of raw peat pea-sieved and further processed into dry dust. The coarse raw peat tiles are finely ground and the ground material from the peat fibers and coarse pieces freed by sieving. The sieved coarse material is used as combustion material in the Boiler system.
The fine material obtained after the grinding process is then transferred again passed a fine sieve and sieved the grain size o to a mm. This grain size contains still rich Amounts of granular moist dust that is produced during grinding -vöri has solved the raw peat tiles. This property comes with that of the Vermähfüng -Screened additional suction to the dryers. -The good over 2 mm from the dust Grain size is intended for coking. For this purpose it must be formed into pieces will. In the state in which it came out of the grinding and sieving plant. comes it is but not very malleable yet. ' It contains grainy in spite of the double suction Wet dust still small amounts of wet dust next to the raw peat flakes. But you get a very malleable material if you spread the fine material so much and knead until an ointment-like paste is formed, which is done, for example, with tariffs is possible. The further the spreading and kneading is carried out, the better it is the success. The ointment-like substance. can be used on presses, such as brick presses, into the desired shape!
Because of the diffusion, the one in the fine property is in spite of the previous ones Drainage still remaining - peat slime evenly distributed in the peat mass been. The moldings are made by drying in the air or by careful feeding of mild warmth so firm without tearing that in this state they are already. a - are very valuable fuel. "The coking of the bricks makes one very hard, lumpy coke, almost the purity of the best charcoal equals, but far surpasses charcoal in terms of hardness and strength.
The spreading process described above takes place when it is used the compacted material freed from peat dust is much lighter than when the compacted material is good is processed directly without prior dust separation. As a result of the low Granular dust content in the treated mass will be the lump peat and the Lump coke obtained from it is particularly firm and of high quality.
