Erfindungsgemäß werden zur Ausübung des Verfahrens Einrichtungen oder Maschinen verwendet, die es gestatten, die zur Erzeugung des Hinterschliffs notwendige oszillatorische Bewegung zwisehen Schleifscheibe und Bohrer durch radiale Bewegung nur einer oder beider den Bohrer tragenden Spindeln hervorzubringen. "Die Bewegung beider Spindeln verwendet man dann, wenn man einen Hinterschliff von bestimmter Größe auch am hinteren Ende erzeugen will, wobei man z. B. die das vordere Ende tragende Spindel stärker oszillieren läßt oder aber die Bewegung beider Spindeln zeitlich gegeneinander versetzt. Bei einer solchen bereits vorgeschlagenen Maschine wird der Bohrer zwischen den beiden Spindeln des Reit- und Spindelstockes aufgenommen, und es ist möglich, enhveder nur die eine, das vordere Bohrerende tragende Spindel für sich allein oder aber beide Spindeln oszillieren zu lassen, letzteres so, daß der Bohrer nicht parallel zu seiner Achse bewegt wird.
