Abstract

The invention provides a method for creating twisted yarn by means of a two-for-one yarn twisting machine, wherein the yarns (3) are unwound in their grain through a yarn infeed tube (22) and a hollow spindle (24) from a multiple-wound feed spool (5) on which a plurality of yarns (3) extending substantially parallel to each other are wound, and are wound onto a winding bobbin (10) as twisted yarn. According to the invention, the grain of the yarns (3) extends from the release point of the yarns (3) on the feed spool (5) directly toward the yarn infeed opening (23) of the yarn infeed tube (22), wherein the yarns (3) form a conical spool shape on the feed spool (5) in at least one region (11-15) of the spool length of the feed spool (5).
