Abstract
The method involves permanently providing an evaluation unit (2) on a lifting mechanism, temporarily providing a sensor device (1) with at least one sensor for detecting sensor signals as a basis for checking wear of the lifting gear traction arrangement, bringing the evaluation unit and sensor device into interaction to evaluate the sensor signals to provide wear information. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for checking lifting gear traction arrangements.
