Device for automatic starting and synchronization of electrical
Single and multi-phase generators Should single or multi-phase alternators
one system are automatically switched in parallel with another, the
Actuation of the drive machine of the generator to be connected can be regulated in such a way that
that with decreasing difference frequency between the two to be interconnected
Networks also decreases the acceleration of the machine to be switched on, so that the
Synchronism is achieved without overregulation if possible. It is important that the variable speed motor
for the prime mover comes to rest only in moments of synchronism, in which
the smallest frequency difference below or above synchronism, on the other hand, slowly increases.
or close. Such a device is the subject of the invention for which
the drawing shows an exemplary embodiment schematically.
In the figure: z means the network to be connected, 2 already means
network in operation, 3 a statorless frequency converter, 4 a synchronous,
Asynchronous or a synchronous induction motor, 5 the phase compensator and variable speed motor
for the drive machine 8 of the generator g, 6 to be switched on, a current limiting resistor
and 7 a clutch switch with magnetic control.
5 steht in diesem Fall still.
If the generator g is put into operation and the network to be connected
z are synchronized with network 2, in the frequency converter on the collector side,
because it is still at a standstill, a frequency corresponding to that of the network
2 must be present. The speed adjustment motor 5 starts immediately with the highest speed
to run and sets the drive machine 8 in motion. As soon as the generator g electricity
supplies, the motor 4, which is mechanically connected to the frequency converter 3, also settles
is coupled, in motion, namely the direction of rotation must be opposite to the direction of the rotating field
of the phase compensator 5, so that with the same number of poles of the motor 4 and the
Frequency converter 3 with synchronism of the network 2 and the network to be connected
= the frequency on the collector side of the frequency converter 3 is zero. The adjusting motor
5 stands still in this case. If the frequency of network x is higher than that of network 2
the motor 4 will rotate faster than the rotating field of the phase compensator
5 corresponds. The difference frequency appears again at the collector of the phase compensator 5,
but with reversed direction of the rotating field. The adjusting motor 5 now also returns
reverses its direction and reduces the loading of the drive machine 8 as long as
until synchronism between the networks x and 2 to be connected is achieved. Since the
Frequency converter 3 supplies a constant voltage independent of the frequency,
so the adjusting motor 5 must have a resistor 6 to limit the current when smaller
Number of periods and in the case of synchronism. Because the frequency converter
3 supplied voltage remains constant in size, there is a great advantage
compared to known devices that the torque of the adjusting motor 5 in both
Direction of rotation even with the smallest number of difference periods of the networks r and 2 very
is powerful and the adjusting motor 5 only comes to a standstill with real synchronism
comes. Another advantage is that an ordinary three-phase asynchronous motor is used as the adjusting motor
can be used with a short-circuit anchor.
