Description
Rolling machine for rolling glass sheets In the method according to the patent 4.65 5i $ for rolling glass sheets by pouring out a glass port in one go on a pad upstream of the rolling mill consisting of one or more conveyor or Aufgusswalzen is the poured glass against the by moving this base Rolling mill fed back and forth.
The present invention relates to a new apparatus for implementation this procedure. According to her, the installation of bridges between the conveyor rollers will be carried out or made dispensable between the conveyor and forming rollers in that the peripheral speed of the conveyor rollers is slower than the speed of the forming rollers. This infusion roller and the lower roll of the rolling mill are rotated in the same direction. Both As a result, rollers tend to feed the liquid glass mass to the rolling mill. If the speed of both rollers were the same, the glass mass would have to be on theirs Paths to the work rolls due to their own gravity in the gap between the lower rolling mill roll and the infusion roll penetrate if this is not bridged is. However, because the infusion roller receives a slower speed than the rolling mill roll, the latter has a pulling effect on the glass mass, see above that this, even without the gap mentioned being bridged, flows unhindered to the work rolls. Instead of one, several infusion rollers can be used, in which case each subsequent roller according to the invention in the sense of the conveying movement of the glass a greater circumferential speed than the preceding roller. Also at Pouring the liquid glass jam on, there is no risk of the glass shrinking between the rollers. First of all, the viscosity of the glass itself affects you rapid penetration into the crevices. But then this is also because of it prevents the rolling mill and the conveyor rollers from going before they are dumped are set so that the various roller speeds mentioned already exert their effect on the glass mass from the outset during the pouring out. Glass that is about to sink into a gap is immediately removed from the the roller delimiting the gap at the front and running at a higher speed than the one at the back limiting roller runs, grasped and pulled away over the gap. Hence arise also no errors due to the inclusion of air bubbles or due to strong cooling of certain glass parts. In addition, the conveyor rollers can in a known manner before Rollers are heated.
Made possible by the invention Avoidance the bridge pieces used according to the main patent between the conveyor rollers and a significant advantage is achieved between these and the forming rollers. These Bridge pieces are in turn subject to the high temperatures of the 'glass masses during the pouring out and rolling and in the rolling breaks of the significantly lower Exposed to room temperature. These strong temperature fluctuations cause a Throwing the bridges, which can not be achieved by appropriate heating and cooling lets avoid the same entirely. In addition, a heating and cooling device the machine made more expensive for the bridges. By throwing or warping the bridges but there are gaps between them and the rollers in which the glass is caught or which at least impede the supply of the glass mass to the forming rolls. This disadvantage is due to the omission of the bridge pieces according to the invention completely prevented.
A glass rolling machine according to the invention is shown on the enclosed sheet Drawing shown schematically in one embodiment.
a und a1 sind die Arbeitswalzen desWalzwerkes, b ist eine der unteren Walzwerkwalze vorgelagerte Aufgußwalze, c ist ein Hafen, d ist die flüssige Glasmasse, die bereits aus dem Hafen ausgeschüttet wurde und die Arbeitswalzen teilweise passiert hat, e ist eine Rutsche, auf welcher das ausgewalzte Glas die '\Äralzmaschine verläßt und den Aufnahmetischen zugleitet, f ist ein Abschlußstück auf der Aufgußwalze b, durch welches ein Ablaufen der Glasmasse von dieser Walze nach hinten verhindert wird.a and a1 are the work rolls of the rolling mill, b is one of the lower ones Rolling mill roller upstream infusion roller, c is a port, d is the liquid glass mass, which has already been poured out of the port and partially passes the work rolls has, e is a chute on which the rolled-out glass leaves the éralz machine and slide to the receiving tables, f is an end piece on the infusion roller b, which prevents the glass mass from running off this roller to the rear will.
The rollers rotate in the direction of the arrow, rollers a and a1 rotate faster than the infusion roller b, for example in the ratio i: 2. But it can also any other suitable ratio can be chosen.
