Elektrischer Heizkörper. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 30. Mai 1925 ab. Electric radiator. Patented in the German Empire on May 30, 1925.
Eine derartige Herstellung von Heizkörpern hat jedoch den Nachteil, daß einerseits ein Kriechweg von der Heizwicklung über die äußeren Kanten derElectric radiators have so far often been produced in such a way that the resistance material applied to a winding strip and this radiator executed in this way against the whole radiator surrounding metal jacket is insulated by insulating cover plates. Such a manufacture of radiators, however, has the disadvantage that on the one hand there is a leakage path from the heating winding over the outer edges of the

There is cover insulation to the metal jacket forming the outer fitting, on the other hand bridging by deposits of oxides on the inside of the metal external fitting to the heating coil arise. Both disadvantages mentioned favor the current transition between the heating coil and the outer metal jacket, which will soon destroy the heating coil. ίο The invention now relates to an arrangement after that in the case of electric radiators, the insulating layer between the metal jacket and Heating coil to avoid the disadvantages outlined above in a special way is trained.
B. in Zylinderform ausführen. According to the invention, a seamless insulating jacket is applied to the heating coil, the the actual radiator is isolated from the outer metal jacket. Because the Insulation of the heating winding is seamless, there is a creepage distance between the heating winding and metal jacket not available. Another advantage results from the tight fit of the metal jacket on it seamless insulating jacket. Because of this tight fit, there is good heat conduction reached between these jackets, so that the entire surface of the metal jacket is used for heat transfer. the The heating coil can now be arranged on a strip in a known manner and inserted into the seamless insulating jacket. Such with a seamless insulating jacket trained radiators you can z. B. in cylinder shape carry out. A metal pipe is attached to a seamless cylindrical insulating pipe Kind of applied. In this cylinder there is now a likewise cylindrical heating coil brought in. This spiral can now also be attached to an insulating tube at the same time this insulating tube serves to return the current.
The figures show, for example, radiators designed in this way. Fig. 1 shows a section through a radiator, the view of which Fig. 2 shows. Fig. 3 and 4 show another embodiment. The plate-shaped winding strip 11, which carries the heating coil 12, is pushed into a seamless insulating pocket 13. This entire arrangement is enveloped by the metal outer fitting 14. The heating coil 15 (FIGS. 3 and 4) is enclosed by the seamless insulating jacket 16 and the latter by the metal fitting 17. Such a cylindrical heating element can now either be used in this state, or it can be brought into any desired shape by pressing as a result of the inventive arrangement of a seamless insulating jacket. Such a compression of the entire radiator together with the heating winding is not possible if it is applied to brittle insulating materials. To even with such radiators, where z. B. the heating coil is arranged on porcelain, to allow compression in any shape, you proceed as follows: The consisting of the seamless insulating jacket and the outer fitting cylindrical tube is only compressed so far in the appropriate shape that an introduction of the brittle material wound heating coil is still possible. It is thereby achieved that the radiators can be given any shape, the heating coils of which are wound on insulating material, which do not allow compression due to brittleness.
