Das Verfahren ist hauptsächlich für die Herstellung von Kinderschuhen bestimmt, läfst sich aber auch für die Herstellung von Schuhwerk für Erwachsene mit Vortheil verwenden.The process is mainly intended for the production of children's shoes but can also be used to advantage in the manufacture of footwear for adults.

Dasselbe unterscheidet sich von dem früher bekannten Verfahren dadurch, dafs die Mitteloder Zwischensohle des Schuhes oder Stiefels nicht wie bisher am Sohlenrande endigt, sondern breiter zugeschnitten ist und mit ihrem verlängerten Rande derart aufgewalkt wird, dafs sie das Oberleder ganz oder theilweise ersetzt oder dasselbe ganz oder theilweise bedeckt. Die so nach allen Seiten hin aufgewalkte Mittelsohle bildet eine aus einem einzigen Stück bestehende Form mit Spitzendeckung, Seitenbesatz und Fersenversteifung. In dieselbe wird, wie in Fig. 1 der Zeichnung durch punktirte Linien angegeben, der Obertheil des Schuhwerks mitsammt der Brandsohle eingesteckt, während unterhalb derselben die Untersohle c aufgelegt wird.
