Dry fire extinguishers. The invention relates to a gas operated with compressed gas
Dry fire extinguishers; in which one is located inside the extinguishing powder container.,
the pressurized gas container receiving chamber is provided. According to the invention is
this compressed gas chamber, which has an elongated shape and relatively narrow
Has cross-section, stored along the y6'and of the powder container and to both
Sides in the tips of the crescent-shaped room with short pressure outlet nozzles
made of resilient metal, which are distributed from top to bottom. These nozzle outlets
are compressed flat to form a lip valve, in such a way that the metal tubes
are usually closed at their slot-shaped outlet opening and only
opens when the pressure gas acting from the inside passes through.

The extinguishing powder container i has the closed filling opening 2 at the top and the powder outlet mouthpiece 3 at the bottom. This chamber q. is completely closed and has one on top. screw-on lid 6 with a key? and handwheel 8 in order to be able to open and close the correspondingly designed screw cap 9 of the compressed gas bottle 5 buffered by a spring 12 from the outside. The compressed gas cylinder is provided with an approach io at the bottom, which q against a transverse web ii in the bottom of the chamber. is present, in order to hold the bottle when the stopper 9 is rotated. The pressure distribution tubes 13 go. from two sides of the chamber q. in the crescent-shaped corner spaces between the container walls i and q. from ('Fig. 2), and since these tubes blow out to both sides, they loosen up the extinguishing powder through a veil of compressed gas that sweeps through the corner spaces. The number of tubes can be as large as desired. The arrangement of the chamber 4 enables the use of very short compressed gas tubes 13, which is advantageous for the reason that the movement of the extinguishing powder in the container is hindered by a plurality of long tubes. Another compressed gas tube 14 (or also several) starts from the lower end of the chamber 4 and opens opposite the outlet mouthpiece 3 or into the same, in order to give the extinguishing powder a better pressure for flowing out.
The ends of the tubes 13 and 14 are pressed flat together, as a result of which the penetration of extinguishing powder into the chamber 4 is prevented. If, as a result of turning the key 7, pressurized gas passes over into the chamber 4 after opening the screw closure plug 9, the flattened outlet openings of the tubes 13 and 14 open, allow the pressurized gas to flow over into the extinguishing powder container i and resiliently close again as soon as the pressure in the Chamber 4 ends. The chamber 4 of the pressurized gas cylinder 5 is laterally besieged in the container i in such a way that the space above the discharge opening 15 for the extinguishing powder is free, so that the extinguishing powder that slips down is not hindered by the chamber 4, but freely into the 'discharge opening 15 and the outlet mouthpiece 3 adjoining this can occur.
