Damit das Bild im Auge des Fahrers wirklichkeitstreu bleibt, müssen optische Gesetze wie "der Einfallswinkel gleicht dem Ausfallswinkel" und genaue Lage der Linse gegenüber dem Spiegel sorgfältig verfolgt werden.
