Description
The invention relates to a ver and after the type of wood machinable (wood-like machinable) material (claim 1) and a method for its production (claim 10).
In the woodworking industry it has a large share of wood that cannot be processed. This occurs in the treatment and processing of wood and comes from to a large extent also from the shredding of rejects or wood remnants. In many cases one is moved on to this woodworking residue burn to reduce the volume while reducing the to use released energy in manufacturing. The Combustion residues of such wood processing residues but must be disposed of as they are next to the Combustion residues from wood also incineration residues from other materials or unburned parts. The Disposing of these combustion residues is relatively expensive and represents a significant part of an operating cost CHP or incinerator Wood processing company. In the document DE 20 59 163 B2 is generally a manufacturing process for chipboard or Fiberboard mentioned, in which the chips or fibers flame retardant mineral substance is added, in addition a binder and kaolin are used (cf. claim there 1, claim 7, 8). The said font would like to add of the mineral substance for which kaolin alone is suggested becomes flammable and possibly additional achieve water-repellent properties, based on Chipboard, fiberboard or the like, however, is in this document does not describe how the chipboard or Fiberboard are manufactured and what raw materials in what proportions by weight are used. From the DE 34 27 502 A1 is also a fire resistant Component described, the basis of which is chip material. A Mixture of chip material and powder, not hydraulic, fire resistance imparting substances as Binders are used at a temperature up to 250 ° C and pressures up to 250 bar connected to one component (see page 2, second last paragraph). The chip material is used as in particular wood chips for the production of chipboard known varieties (see page 4, second paragraph), if necessary, straw, grass or other things inorganic material can be used. In none of the Writings, however, the use of woodworking Targeted residues that were mentioned at the beginning.
It is an object of the invention to show a way to the wood processing residues described from the wood processing industry of a reasonable use feed and so the disposal problem clearly reduce. This task is performed by the material according to the Teaching according to claim 1 or with the manufacturing process Claim 10 solved.
It does not matter to the invention whether the Wood processing residues only wood particles contain or whether (also) other materials and materials are included.
The material can be cast in some cases, but preferably by pouring into appropriate forms, e.g. B. Made of polyethylene or styrofoam, in shape and in any Form, also in the form of plates, boards or the like produce. Pressing the material during manufacture a corresponding workpiece is not required.
After production of the workpiece - be it without pressing or with pressing - the workpiece can be changed without shape be fundamentally changed. For this purpose the workpiece subjected as a whole to sintering at elevated temperature, where it is swollen under the exclusion of oxygen. At this The wood components of the Workpiece a color change; they go black. The workpiece gets its "charred" shape and view. With the mentioned Sintering - which is a charring smoldering - solidifies the framework of silicates (silicate framework) that is already through the drying was stabilized (pre-fixed). With the mentioned Sintering and final consolidation of the pre-fixed framework escape also the white glue components (from around 400 ° C). Escape beforehand Water vapor (at around 100 ° C) and wood gases (at around 230 ° C).
The temperature can be between about 600 ° C and 800 ° C, while the sintering time depends on the thickness of the workpiece judges. The sintering process should be carried out in such a way that he grasped the material through and through; a is proposed Guide value of 15 min duration per 1 cm workpiece thickness (claims 3, 13, 17, 19).
The sintering process is controlled so that all Charring woodworking residues in the workpiece while the additives are ceramic or glass-ceramic, sintered Form a scaffold which gives the workpiece the required Gives strength and dimensional stability.
For the density of the workpiece, the predetermined mixture is Wood processing residues are decisive. Doing so Mixture viewed as particularly advantageous, the fine Particles the gaps between the larger wood particles fill in and so - even without pressing the workpiece - for ensure the desired density. The density can be Shaking the bulk material in the mold be made more even and improved (claim 14).
Das dem Weißleim zugesetzte Zusatzmittel (Anspruch 5) für den Werkstoff enthält eine Mischung aus etwa 60-80 Gew.% Wasserglas, 15-25 Gewichts% Kaolin und 6-12 Gew.% Vermikulitpulver. The additive added to the white glue (claim 5) for the Material contains a mixture of about 60-80% by weight water glass, 15-25% by weight kaolin and 6-12% by weight vermiculite powder.
A preferred mixture of the added next to the white glue Additive consists of about 70% by weight water glass, about 18 % By weight of kaolin and approximately 9% by weight of vermiculite powder. This Aggregates are of different sizes with the mixture Wood processing residues mixed intimately and then the White glue added.
The workpiece made from this mass is after the Mold pouring or casting, if necessary in connection with Shake, dry, so that the moisture is largely removed becomes.
Has proven to be particularly advantageous if the Drying process takes place in two stages (claim 3). In both A temperature of around 70 ° C can be used in stages.
After the first shorter drying phase, which is about two to four Hours can be done in a hot air oven, the Surface of the workpiece ground so that at least 50% the surface can be detected, since at the start of drying forms a solid, vapor-impermeable outer layer, the one prevents further drying. The second drying process is mostly the longer one and can take 8 to 12 hours. Also this is carried out in a warm air oven.
After drying, the workpiece shows a simple pour (without shaking) a specific weight between 0.9 and 1.
A lower specific weight of the finished workpiece can be obtained in predetermined particle composition existing woodworking residues with vermeculite Granules, preferably between 1-3 mm particle size, are mixed (claim 9). The mixing ratio is 1: 1, that is, about 1 per 1 liter of wood processing residues Liters of vermeculite granules.
In the drying described, the moisture becomes largely expelled and the mixture particles are in particular by the white glue firmly bonded together. The drying process affects the shape of the workpiece. There is no But swell up to 10%.
The surface of the workpiece thus obtained can be like that Surface of a wooden workpiece machined, treated as desired and with outer layers such as veneer, metal, reinforced or not be reinforced plastic or the like.
If you want to obtain a workpiece with a higher specific density, pressing the workpiece is also possible. It is for that required drying after the (first) drying process to interrupt. Now the material can be under pressure between 4-7 bar and at a temperature of around 90 ° C below Volume reduction are pressed (claim 15). Before that the material with outer layers of plastic, metal, wood or the like are permanently provided Volume reduction is a maximum of about 20% of the volume of the Material due to the constant described above Manufacturing process.
The separately highlighted second drying process under pressure and about 90 ° C reactivates the white glue that was already there was hardened. The reactivation takes place through the temperature and by evaporating the - determining the residual moisture - Proportion of water in the material. The reactivation allows it under the - but low - pressure the density of the short term viscous workpiece significantly increased. By pressure and heat generated by the workpiece is sufficient to to finish it.
The workpieces can, regardless of which of the described ways they are made like normal wood or processed and processed a normal chipboard.
When the sintering is complete, the workpiece contains no more substances that are exposed to fire or heat Give off pollutants or toxins. It is particularly addressed the complete avoidance of dioxins that are easily generated if white glue residues (PVA) remain in the workpiece.
In this way, high-quality workpieces are obtained Wood processing residues in large quantities in the Industry and companies incur and their disposal (Combustion) also because of the foreign substances present next to wood cause considerable problems. With disposal through Recycling of these residues will, however, take place at the same time Material created that when used "fire protection" entirely is tolerable and harmless.
Processing can be done with relatively little effort because usually a compression is not required.
