Die Erfindung betrifft ein Rad mit elastischer Bereifung, bei der zwei Reifen. oder Felgen aus Holz, Metall o.,' dgl. mit Gewebe-- Gurten, Leinen, Seilen, Tauen oder Kabeln usw., welche mit Gummi überzogen sind, schraubenförmig fest umwickelt und hierdurch gegeneinander so gespannt werden, daß die Umwicklung einen straffen Mantel bildet. Die beiden Reifen oder Felgen sind nun - und darin- besteht das Neue - im Querschnitt muldenförmig gestaltet und so zueinander angeordnet, daß die Böden der Mulden einander zugekehrt sind. Hierdurch wird in dem durch die schraubenförmige Umwicklung gebildeten Mantel auf der Laufseite a und auf der Felgenseite b je ein Hohlraum gebildet, so daß die Bereifung auf der Laufseite a (s. Abb. 2), auf der Felgenseite b und an den Seiten c und d nachgeben kann. Der Abstand e der Böden der Mulden voneinander richtet sich nach der Höhe der Bereifung, er kann größer und kleiner sein, die Böden können auch direkt zusammenstoßen. Auf die Bereifung wird eine Gummilaufdecke aufvulkanisiert. Die im Querschnitt muldenförmig gestalteten Reifen oder Felgen können auch von einem Laufmantel umspannt werden.
