Flow indicators, in particular for oil lubrication lines. To recognize
to be able to determine whether the individual lubrication points of a machine through the connecting lines
also get oil, a sight glass with a drop drop is switched on in the lines,
or the oil is allowed to rise through a solution. For the same purpose such
Sight glasses turned on, on which a display device, z. B. a piston or
a spring through which oil pressure is moved along. so that can be seen by their movement
is whether oil is going through the pipe. Finally, the oil take-off in the storage vessel is also carried out
determines whether lubrication is taking place. All of these bodies are not entirely
reliable and have not been able to introduce themselves into practice. The control in the
Storage vessel does not show, for example, whether each individual lubrication line
Oil receives when there are several of them. When moving along the sight glass
Indicators occurs easily a Vci soiling of the sight glass, since the
The amounts of oil produced are extremely small and therefore also the movement of the
Piston turns out to be very small. If the piston or the indicator does not work
tight in the glass, then they are no longer visible due to its soiling.
The thick oil used by name also makes movement difficult
the display device and thus reduces its possible stop. Is annoying
in all known flow indicators their relatively large design.
The present invention allows an extremely simple and
reliable observation of whether oil is being pumped in a pipe and how much. this will
achieved in that the piston is guided transversely to the sight glass and this at him
its stroke serves as a stop. The oil path is expediently set up in such a way that
that the oil passes between the two when the piston is pushed off the sight glass
got to. The piston, which is expediently under spring pressure, is then released when the
Pressure is pressed against the glass and is visible, but disappears when it begins
Oil pressure. The oil flowing by between the flask and the glass removes any that may have stuck to it
Impurities, so that the safe operation of the flow indicator with certainty
is maintained. Finally can
the movement of the piston
can be used to close the current between two isolated contacts,
in order to bring about a remote indication of the effectiveness.
Die Zeichnung stellt vier Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung in Abb.
i bis .4 im Längsschnitt dar.The drawing shows four exemplary embodiments of the invention in Fig.
i to .4 in longitudinal section.
The housing a of the flow indicator has, as shown in Fig. I, the inlet connection piece b and the outlet connection piece e. In the housing there is guided a piston d which is under the action of a spring and which is pressed by the spring e with its front face against the sight glass f closing off the housing a. The front end of the piston d is beveled as in Fig. I or stepped down as in Fig. 2, so that a throttle point and at the same time a pressure surface for the incoming oil is created. When the oil pressure starts, the piston d is pressed back against the spring e and disappears from the sight glass. The oil is between the sight glass and the piston. and pressed by the piston d to the discharge port c. When the oil pressure drops, the spring e presses the piston d back against the sight glass so that it becomes visible.
This stroke movement of the piston can be converted into an electrical display device
use. For this purpose, reach through the beater f as far as the piston d
two contacts g, g ', one of which leads to any display device
with and without writing, an electric bell or the like
Interruption of the circuit when the piston d is pushed off the sight glass f is indicated
will. Conversely, the contact could be set up so that the sight glass
/ hitting piston d breaks contact. This could be done in the sight glass
f a pin can be guided in an oil-tight socket that opens the circuit.
i bis 3 stattfindet.
In the examples just described, the oil must be between pistons
and wring the sight glass through. If the oil is thick, the piston becomes sufficiently wide
pushed back to make it invisible. On the other hand, they become more fluid
If oils are used, then the stroke of piston d is a little too small and it just occurs
a slight, less noticeable clouding of visibility. To get a bigger takeoff
To achieve the piston, it is advisable to add a second throttle point in this case
d ", as in Fig. 3. The one wedging between the piston and the sight glass
The oil can then not flow off without further ado, but continues to soot the piston
Push back so that it can pass the second throttle part d "and flow off.
Fig. 4. shows an embodiment in which the flow of the oil contrary to Fig.
i to 3 takes place. The piston covers the drain opening when it is in contact and becomes
pushed back by the oil pressure. Now the oil can between the piston and the sight glass
flow away.
Since it can be determined exactly how much oil with each stroke of the piston
runs through, the number of strokes can be used to determine the amount of the flowing through
Determine the oil level and record it precisely using the electrical display device.
Naturally, the display could also be purely mechanical, if instead of electrical
Contacts a pin moved by piston d on its return stroke is used,
trigger a mechanical signal. It is therefore a precise control and observation
lubrication possible. Because the piston only has a narrow seat with which it is constantly
strikes against the sight glass, but in the example according to Fig. i and 2 the oil between
If the seat and glass have to flow through, the glass is cleaned automatically
which ensures the constant visibility of the piston.
