A pref. kit comprises a metal or non-metallic box contg. the following: 4 bottles of blue-fluorescing ''C-STOFF UB'' contaminating agent; 2x1 10 m rolls of indicator paper (pH paper based on 4-dimethylaminoazobenzene, pH 2.9 - 4.0) to indicate contamination by the contaminating agent ''C-STOFF UB''; 1 x 366 nm UV lamp to indicate contamination by the contaminating agent ''C-STOFF UB''; 4 bottles of soap made according to DE3622242 C2 for decontamination; 10 sealed decontamination cloths made according to DE3622242 C2 for decontamination; 2 bottles of skin decontamination powder made according to DE3625583 C2; 2 pumps for discharging the blue fluorescing ''C-STOFF UB''; 2 decontamination compsns., civil and military, for decontamination of chemical contaminants on the person; 1 pair of scissors for taking samples; 2 forceps for taking samples; and 1 set of instructions for use in different languages. USE/ADVANTAGE - The kit allows personnel to be trained in the detection of chemical contamination, esp. with chemical warfare agents, using non-toxic contamination simulating chemicals, and in decontamination techniques using actual decontaminating agents.

Description

The invention relates to an exercise case for detection the poisoning and detoxification of chemical poisons, in particular of chemical warfare agents using suitable harmless Simulation means.

It is known that the detection of contamination with che mix poisons, especially with chemical warfare agents, by means of chemical indicator papers, such as enzyme papers or Methyl red-methyl orange indicators can be detected. In particular, the use of enzyme is used here papers, which in the reaction with S-LOST (2.2 dichlorodi ethyl sulfide) a color change from gray to light to result in dark green. Nerve agents like soman and sarin react with the enzyme dye from gray to red.

It is known that the enzyme papers only with real chemi poisons or chemical warfare agents react. A Simulation of chemical warfare agents by non-toxic Reaching chemicals has not been possible to date possible.

The invention relates to an exercise case in which ver various simulation chemicals, detoxifiers and commercial technical devices are housed, the make it possible to absorb by means of ultra violet (UV) Chemicals and the associated UV lamp in the 366 nm range as well as certain indicator papers the simulation of che mix warfare agents in practice.
