Description
The invention relates to a device for Focus one light beam in several Focus points according to the preamble of the claim 1.
Such a device is in the German patent 40 24 299 to which the present Registration is an additional registration.
A number of applications require a light beam in more than one focus point or - focus spot; usually the individual focus points in a predefined positional relationship to stand by each other; furthermore it is often necessary the intensity of the light beam in certain Way to divide the individual focus points.
Laserstrahles verstanden). For example, in laser beam welding seam defects occurring at high process speeds, such as seams, holes etc. by beam splitting or use of multiple discrete focus points eliminated (as in the following Description - under a focus point or focus spot not a point in the mathematical sense, but the area "the smallest constriction" of the light or laser beam Understood).
For focusing a light beam in at least two The focus is in the main patent DE 40 24 299 a device has been proposed that has a focusing element and has a mirror arrangement. The mirror arrangement has at least the number of focus points corresponding number of mirror surfaces, each one touch along a line also called a "chamfer" and its surface normal Include an angle << 0 ° along this line, see above that the mirror arrangement converts the light beam into one of the number number of sub-bundles corresponding to the focus points splits up. For varying the beam intensity in the individual focus points and the distance of the individual The focus is the mirror arrangement relative to the incident Movable light beam.
Dies ist bei bestimmten Einsatzfällen nachteilig:When described in the main patent DE 40 24 299 However, the device changes the length of the light path when the mirror arrangement is shifted. This is disadvantageous in certain applications:
For example, if the focus point of the sub-bundle exactly on the surface of the workpiece that is being machined is supposed to lie, it is with a movement of the Mirror arrangement required, including the focusing element and if necessary to move the laser so that the Distance between focusing element and workpiece surface equal to the focal length or the focal length of the Focusing element remains.
In addition, it is in the main patent DE 40 24 299 described device whenever that Beams of light divided into more than two focus points will, not possible, the distance between each Focus points regardless of the distance between others Change focus points.
Furthermore, DE 35 02 382 A1 is a mirror element with two inclined towards each other, one beam of light or a beam of light dividing into two partial beams Mirror surfaces known, the mirror element for Varying the beam intensity relative to the incident Beam of light is movable.
Die DE 33 46 144 C1 beschreibt eine Vorrichtung zum Lichtstrahlschweißen, die ein Spiegelelement aufweist, das zur Variation der Strahlintensität in den Fokuspunkten quer zum auftreffenden Lichtstrahl bewegbar ist.DE 33 46 144 C1 describes a device for Light beam welding, which has a mirror element, to vary the beam intensity in the Focus points can be moved across the incoming light beam is.
Ultimately, in FR-PS 9 36 291 a device for Image doubling known in the case of a single lens those coming from the object point to be doubled Object rays on two inclined towards each other The plane mirror projects the object rays in turn via a flat deflecting mirror to the two Reflect pixels, for example, two film copies to produce from a master film, the both film copies have the same brightness.
The invention is based, which from the Main patent DE 40 24 299 known device for Focusing a light beam in several focus points to further develop that in a hiring the percentage radiation intensities in the focus points or the distance between the focus points, the optical path length between the focusing element and the focus points remain constant.
An inventive solution to this problem is in the Claim 1 characterized.
Further developments of the invention are in the subclaims specified.
According to claim 1 is between the focusing element and a mirror is attached to the mirror arrangement, which is used to align those falling into the focus points Sub-bundle in the direction of that Focusing element emitted focused light beam serves. The deflecting mirror is together with the mirror arrangement movable together so that the optical Path length between the focusing element and the Focus points when setting the percentage radiation intensities in the focus points or when setting the distance of the focus points from each other is constant remains.
Of course it is possible that the individual Mirror surfaces of the mirror arrangement and / or the deflecting mirror have an optical effect, d. i.e., the individual mirror surfaces can be concave or convex Mirror with a possibly aspherical curvature his. In addition, it is also possible that the individual Mirror surfaces in their main sections different Have curvatures so that they are in addition to a focusing effect also an anamorphic Can have an effect.
A particularly simple training is obtained, however when a separate focusing element is provided and the mirror arrangement between this focusing element and the location of the focus points is arranged.
In the case of further training, the main patent DE 40 24 299 invention described two or more Mirror arrangements may be provided, each of which beams of light striking them in several Splits sub-bundle.
This not only gives you a structurally simple Version in which the individual mirror elements are movable independently of one another, but it is also possible in a simple way, the distance and the Intensity of individual focus points independent of others Adjust focus points.
A simple structural design is obtained when bevelled plane mirrors or prisms with flat surfaces can be used for the mirror arrangement. The number of Chamfering, d. H. the lines along which there are mirror surfaces touch is 1 less than the number of desired focus points. Of course it is even when using a separate focusing element possible, the mirror arrangements an optical effect to give, for example, the shape of the "focus spot" to influence in a certain way.
If, for example, the light beam only in two Focus points should be split and an additional one Focusing element is used - as already mentioned - The mirror arrangement prefers a simply chamfered plane mirror. This simply chamfered plane mirror can be used Distribution of the beam intensity over the two focus points perpendicular to the incident light beam as well to chamfer and to vary the distance between the two Focus points in the direction of the incident light beam be moved.
In the device according to the invention can the mirror arrangement in the same way as in the Main patent device described in the direction of the light beam striking the mirror arrangement as well as being moved perpendicular to it. It is particularly advantageous if the mirror arrangement a simply chamfered Plane mirror or the prism is a roof prism, and if the mirror arrangement for splitting the beam intensity on the two focus points perpendicular to the impinging one Beams of light as well as bevel and variation the distance between the two focus points in the direction of the incident light beam is displaceable.
Furthermore, the movement of the mirror arrangement cannot just a translational movement in the direction of the impinging Light beam as well as perpendicular to it, but also a rotational movement, i.e. H. a tilting, rotating and / or pivoting movement and a combination of these movements.
The mirror arrangement can be done both by hand and through a known (multi-axis) adjustment device which are in turn moved by a tax or control unit or the like. is actuated.
Especially when a high laser is used as the light source Power or a laser working in the UV range is used it is of particular advantage if as Focusing element not a transmitting element, but a reflective element such as a Concave mirror is used.
The device according to the invention can then always be used become a bundle of light when necessary split into several focused sub-bundles, like this for example when editing and in particular when welding a surface using a Lasers is required.
For example, when welding cans it is Switching to different formats is an advantage if the setting of the distance between the individual focus points and the intensity distribution is continuous can, as is the case when using an inventive Device for focusing a light beam in at least two focus points is the case.
The invention is hereinafter without limitation general inventive concept based on exemplary embodiments by way of example with reference to the drawing described on the rest of the Disclosure of all inventive not explained in the text Details explicitly referenced will, and their only figure shows a cross section through an inventive Device shows.
In the figure, an embodiment of a device according to the invention is shown, which splits a light beam 1 with an axis 1 ' into two sub-beams 11 and 12 , which are focused at separate locations in the focal plane F, without restricting the general inventive concept.
With s is the distance between the "focal points" of the two "Focus points", d. H. more specifically the two focus spots designated in the focal plane F.
For this purpose, the device according to the invention has a concave mirror 2 , which focuses the light beam 1 . A deflection mirror 4 is arranged in the light path after the concave mirror 2 , which deflects the light beam by 90 °.
Arranged after the deflecting mirror 4 is a mirror arrangement 3 which, in the embodiment shown, has two mirror surfaces 31 and 32 which touch along a line 33 and whose surface normals form an angle << 0 ° along this line (or chamfer); in other words, the mirror arrangement 3 is a chamfered plane mirror. Furthermore, the mirror arrangement 3 is designed such that it deflects the light beam 1 by approximately 90 °.
The mirror arrangement 3 and the deflecting mirror 4 are held on two linear guides, not shown, in the x and z directions. A position of the two elements shifted in the z direction is shown in dashed lines in the figure. In the dashed position, the distance s' between the two focus points is greater than in the position shown with solid lines.
The device described has the property that regardless of the position of the mirror assembly 3 and the deflecting mirror 4, the light path and thus the distance between the optical axis 1 'of the light beam 1 and the focus plane F remains constant, so that no displacement of the focusing element 2 for focusing to focus level F is required.
The invention is based on an exemplary embodiment have been described; Of course Various modifications are possible.
For example, it is possible to move the mirror arrangement not only translationally, but also rotationally, for example by pivoting in a pivot axis lying in the chamfer or outside the chamfer. Furthermore, the mirror arrangement 3 can also have more than two mirror surfaces, so that more than two focus points arise. Furthermore, the mirror arrangement can not only have surface mirrors, but also prism elements. A refractive element, such as a lens, can also be used as the focusing element.
Also, if the light bundle is to be split into more than two sub-bundles, several separate mirror arrangements can be used instead of the mirror arrangement 3 .
