Abstract

A moulded filling material for packaging purposes is made by mixing cellulose pulp, fibre residues, cellulose power, waste paper and dust with swelling agents, starch prods. and additives to give a mixt. of the required consistency, and extruding the mixt. using an extruder with a thermal and mechanical action with a redn. in temp. and press. upon extrusion to cause expansion of the extruded prod. Pref. the components are mixed to give an extrusion mixt. contg. ca. 60% cellulose and a remainder of starch prods., swelling agent and regulating additives. A cutter is provided to cut the extrudate into packing pieces of the required size.

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing Filling material for packaging made of cellulose - fiber residues - Dust - gauze. The source material becomes swelling bodies in under different amounts added depending on the required consistency. In addition starch products and ingredients are added. The one after another The resulting mass is processed in one pass mechanically and thermally acting extruder compresses and plasticized. At the extruder outlet, the mass is determined by temperature and foamed pressure drop. There is a separator at the exit of the extruder mechanism attached that cuts the emerging mass strand and gives the fillers the right size.

Process for the production of filler (shaped body) as filler material for packaging purposes from cellulose - fiber residues - dust - gauze. The starting material is processed to porridge according to the usual method, additives are added and shaped, characterized in that pulp, fiber, gauze, dust and flour are mixed with swelling bodies and starch products, and that the mixture is subjected to a thermal and mechanical action by an extruder Temperature and pressure drop is foamed. The mixing ratio depends on the desired consistency. The cellulose content is around 60% residual starch products, swelling bodies and regulating ingredients.
