Description
The present invention relates to a heat engine to the preamble of claim 1.
Heat engines based on the Stirling principle exist in their simplest design, each from an externally cooled or heated cylinders with pistons that are coupled together. The two cylinders are connected by a tube and filled with a working gas, the working medium. First this gas expands - e.g. B. helium or air - in the hot cylinder due to the heat supplied and pushes its piston down so that mechanical work is done. On his On the way back, the piston pushes the hot gas into the cold cylinder, wherein the gas in the connecting pipe heat to the the regenerator, a heat accumulator and the in cold heat exchanger following the direction of flow of the working gas releases and cools down. The piston in the cold Cylinder, the so-called sliding cylinder, hurries in the hot Working cylinder, in a crankshaft drive around a quarter turn ahead, making room for the gas. If then when it starts to compress again, it compresses the gas and back in the hot cylinder. The gas takes off previously released heat to the regenerator again. A total of the work done in the displacement is greater than the one to be used to push the working gas. From the difference the work performed and work to be done results then after a cycle the work gained as an efficient one Share of the available energy. The Work is now available in mechanical form. A such a heat engine is known from US-PS 43 67 625.
In the known types of heat engines according to the Stirling principle, the heat exchange is now done either directly over the cylinder wall of the working or push cylinder or through a connected with proportionately large ballast or dead volume, conventional Heat exchanger or a large volume heat transfer system.
The known systems are therefore in the performance and of efficiency. They show long ways for the working medium and large dead volumes as well as flow resistances especially at junctions and curvatures of the Channels on.
Ultimately, DE-OS 27 13 174 is a heat engine known according to the Stirling principle, in which between the Face of the hot and cold cylinder immediately a heat exchanger is arranged, which has channels that immediately lead from the hot into the cold room and this Connect rooms with each other in a direct way.
The present invention has for its object a heat engine according to the Stirling principle according to the generic term of claim 1 regarding the heat exchange in the heat supply and improve heat dissipation.
The present invention proposes to solve this problem in a heat engine of the type described Kind the characteristics that are in the characteristic part of the Claim 1 are listed. Fig. 1 shows the heat exchanger shown in Fig. 2 individually shear 1 , which is installed lengthways in a housing 2 , this housing with its two end faces 16 and 17 each screwed tightly against the hot 3 and the cold cylinder 4 ge is. The two coaxial cylinders 3 and 4 are parts of a heat engine according to the Stirling principle, in which there are the hot space 5 with the working piston 7 and the cold space 6 with the displacement piston 8 . The two pistons 7 and 8 can also, as shown in FIG. 3, be replaced by a membrane as a working member. The two pistons 7 and 8 or the corresponding diaphragms are coupled to one another in a manner not shown in such a way that their relative movement to one another follows the known Stirling mode of operation. Couplings of this type are also known, as are various ways of accessing the mechanical work from the working member. The fluid working medium 9 for this process in the two rooms 5 and 6 can be He, CO₂, air or another gas.
The heat exchanger 1 is a so-called micro-heat exchanger with a large aspect ratio, which is to be understood as the mathematical ratio of the channel length to the dimensions of the internal structures (wall thicknesses or channel widths). Micro heat exchangers that can be produced have aspect ratios of over 10,000, the smallest dimensions of the inner structures being in the 10 μm range for wall thicknesses, in the 100 μm range for channel widths and the channel lengths in the cm range to a maximum in the m range. The aspect ratio of such micro heat exchangers can be predetermined in a wide range, as can the shape and arrangement of the channels.
The micro heat exchanger 1 acc. Fig. 2 now consists of übereinan dergestapelten grooved plate-shaped films 10, wherein the alignment of the grooves 11 is alternately offset from one another by an angle, before preferably of 90 °, and the grooves 11 of a slide 10 with the back of the wall 12 of the overlying or adjacent film 10 form the channels of the heat exchanger 1 .
The heat exchanger 1 is constructed in the manner of a storage heat exchanger and has three types of channels 13 , 14 and 15 , which are formed from the grooves 11 described:
The channels 13 of the first type pass lengthways through the heat exchanger 1 and bring the working medium 9 flowing back and forth in them with the hot medium 18 in the channels 14 of the second type and the cold medium 19 in the channels 15 of the third type as in a cross-flow heat exchanger in heat exchange. These channels 14 and 15 are arranged one behind the other approximately at right angles to the channels 13 . Between them, the respective films 10 have an un-grooved part 20 , which serves as a regenerator 21 for the Stirling process. The channels 13 of the first type leading the working medium 9 lead un indirectly from the hot space 5 into the cold 6 , so that the flow losses are minimal.
In FIG. 1, the precise installation of the heat exchanger 1 is now shown in a Stirling engine. This can be a mechanical job or a chiller, the type of micro heat exchanger described is suitable for all types of fluids. As already mentioned, the heat exchanger sits in a housing 2 , which is flanged directly between the two cylinders 3 and 4 . In the housing 2 , the heat exchanger is inserted in such a way that the channels 13 of the first type connect the hot and cold rooms 5 and 6 directly, so that the working medium 9 has low losses between the rooms 5 and 6 due to the piston movements 22 and 23. and can flow here. For this purpose, the openings 26 and 27 of the housing 2 , in which the front and rear surfaces 24 and 25 of the heat exchanger 1 are located, each correspond to the cylinders 3 and 4 or their spaces 5 and 6 . The regenerator 21 or the corresponding zone of the heat exchanger 1 lies approximately in the middle of the housing 2 , a thickening 28 in this area separates the channels 14 and 15 or their inflow areas 29 and 30 from one another in a sealed manner.
The inflow regions 29 and 30 are located behind the inlet connections 31 and 32 for the hot 18 and the cold medium 19 on the side of the housing 2 , at the outlet of the channels 14 and 15 from the heat exchanger 1 , the outlet connections 33 and 34 are correspondingly located.
The housing 2 of the heat exchanger 1 thus forms the cylinder head cover of both cylinders 3 , 4 and thus has corresponding openings 26 , 27 for the working medium 9 with the cylinders. The surfaces 24 , 25 of the heat exchanger 1 with the openings of the channels 13 of the first type form the end of the hot 5 and the cold room 6 . The inlet 31, 32 and the outlet openings 33, 34 for the hot 18 and the cold medium 19 are laterally across the first openings 26,27 in the Ge housing 2 and correspond to the channels 14, 15 of the second and third type of Heat exchanger 1 . The regenerator part 21 of the heat exchanger 1 lies between them and separates them from one another.
The basic function of the Stirling process in the machine according to the invention is as described at the beginning. The Ar beitsmedium 9 circulates through the channels 13 of the first type between the hot and cold room 5 and 6th The energy supply to the process through the hot medium 18 takes place via the channels 14 of the second type on the channels 13 , the medium 18 being supplied and discharged through the connecting pieces 31 and 33 . The residual heat to be removed is dissipated in the channels 15 of the third type from the channels 13 of the first type by means of the cold medium 19 , this medium 19 being fed in or out through the connecting pieces 32 and 34 . In the regenerator part 21 , part of the heat between the cold and hot zones is temporarily stored in accordance with the Stirling process, so that it serves as a thermal separation.
In Fig. 3 is illustrated how the heat exchanger according to Fig. 1 and is incorporated in a Stirling engine 2 having, instead of the piston 7, 8, bellows 35 and 36. The membrane bellows can have single bellows such as 35 or double or more fold bellows such as 36 . The tap of the mechanical Ar work on the membranes takes place here via plunger 37 . The hot space is here through the space 38 between the front surfaces 24 of the heat exchanger 1 and the membrane of the bellows 35 , the cold 39 between the rear surfaces 25 and the membrane of the membrane bellows 36 is formed. The control of the membranes in their relationship to one another is not shown since it is state of the art.
Die in der Fig. 3 mit gleichen Ziffern benannten Elemente sind identisch mit denen der Fig. 1 bis 2.The elements named with the same numbers in FIG. 3 are identical to those of FIGS. 1 to 2.
