Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a silencer backdrop for the Use in high temperature gas streams, with a Absorbent material, in its Longitudinal expansion essentially in the direction of flow extending backdrop body.
Silencer backdrops that can be used at high temperatures are used primarily for sound absorption in the exhaust gas ducts large internal combustion engines, especially gas turbines required in power plants or on test benches. Acquaintances too silencers used for these purposes, so-called Absorption silencers, have homogeneous fillings made of glass or rock wool. Beyond that Silencer backdrops known, in which the backdrop body from a layered structure from one side with glass or Rock wool covered bulkhead plates exist, with the Sheets with the linings transverse to the flow direction of the hot Gases in a repeating stratification Stretch the bulkhead, mineral wool and air cavity. At this is due to these so-called resonator silencers Layering spacing of several decimeters.
Such silencers have the disadvantage that the Glass wool or rock wool at temperatures above 500 ° C and at the same time dynamic stress by the Gases flowing past after a short period of operation due to their iron content oxidizes, embrittles and decomposes. As a result and as a result of discharge of the decomposed or partially lose decomposed absorber material through the gas flow this known silencer backdrop after a short Operating time their effectiveness.
It is the object of the present invention To create a silencer backdrop of the type mentioned at the beginning, for use in high temperature gas streams, especially at temperatures above 500 ° C, better than that known silencer backdrops is suitable.
This is the silencer backdrop that solves this task characterized in that the backdrop body has a layer structure with extending transversely to the direction of flow, alternating absorption material with a high and a low flow resistance material layers includes.
This solution according to the invention can be used for the Use at high temperatures, especially above 500 ° C, Manufacture applicable silencer backdrops by alternating on the one hand due to the layer structure Absorbent material with a high and a low Material layers having flow resistance more appropriate, the required Attenuation-frequency characteristic ensures medium Flow resistance is achievable, and by the other hand corresponding absorption materials with high and low Flow resistance that is sufficiently temperature resistant are available. Thus, as Absorbent material with a high flow resistance to Example ceramic wool can be used up to Is stable at temperatures of around 1000 ° C, but not with a flow resistance is available, which it is would allow only this material as Use absorption material in the backdrop body. As Absorbent material with low flow resistance can e.g. B. Stainless steel needle fleece can be used, up to 1000 ° C is sufficiently heat-resistant. Beneficial Design options of the invention go from Sub-claims emerge.

In Fig. 1, the reference numeral 1 denotes a silencer backdrop, which comprises a circumferential sheet metal frame 2 with vertically and horizontally extending frame parts. The sheet metal frame 2 is covered with side covers 3 and 3 'from perforations 4 having sheet metal in a uniform arrangement. Through the frame 2 and the side covers 3 and 3 'is a box for receiving an absorber body 5 , which essentially fills the box. The absorber body has a layer structure of material layers extending perpendicular to the perforated plates 3 and 3 ', the layer structure alternately containing layers 6 of ceramic wool and layers 7 of stainless steel needle fleece. The silencer backdrop 1 is located in a gas flow indicated by the arrows 8 , the backdrop being arranged so that the different material layers of the absorber body extend perpendicular to the direction of flow.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the flow resistance of the ceramic wool forming the material layers 6 is above 15 kN × s / m 4 , the density of the ceramic wool being in the range between 30 and 150 kg per m 3 . The flow resistance of the stainless steel needle fleece forming the material layers 7 is considerably smaller and is below 1 kN × s / m 4 in the present exemplary embodiment. Instead of stainless steel needle fleece, wire mesh or a bed of ceramic beads could also be used as the absorption material for the material layers 7 , the flow resistance of which should be less than the flow resistance of the material layers 6 . The layer thickness of the material layers is preferably between 5 and 100 mm and in particular between 10 and 50 mm.
Bevorzugt wird ein Bereich von 300 bis 5000 mm.In the present exemplary embodiment, the Longitudinal expansion of the silencer baffles in the direction of the Gas flow 1200 mm. Depending on the desired damping effect the length of the silencer baffles can be larger or smaller be. A range of 300 to 5000 mm is preferred.
For sound absorption, several of the silencer links shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are spaced parallel to one another, the width of the silencer links and the distance between the links preferably being in the range between 50 and 1000 mm.
The sound waves of the hot gas flowing past the scenes are absorbed by the material layers made of absorber material. The materials used for layers 6 and 7 are temperature-resistant up to a temperature of approx. 1000 ° C., so that the backdrops can be used for sound absorption in correspondingly hot gas flows.
In FIG. 3, an attenuation-frequency characteristic for an arrangement of silencers according to FIGS. 1 and 2, which are arranged at intervals of 267 mm parallel to one another, corresponding in comparison with the attenuation-frequency characteristics of arrays of silencers, which have a homogeneous absorber body made of ceramic wool or rock wool. The dashed curve relates to the silencer backdrop according to the invention. The solid curve refers to silencer backdrops with a conventional rock wool filling, which is not stable at temperatures above 500 ° C, and the gate-like curve shows the sound absorption for a homogeneous absorber body made of ceramic wool, as was used to form the material layers 6 .
As can be seen from FIG. 3, the damping for the silencer arrangement with absorber bodies containing only ceramic wool in the low frequency range has only low values which do not meet the requirements to be placed on such silencer backdrops. The absorber arrangement with absorber bodies containing only rock wool has sufficient damping in the lower frequency range, but, as already mentioned, the rock wool is not stable at temperatures above 500 ° C., so that the silencer baffles at these temperatures result from decomposition of the rock wool and discharge the scenes would lose their effectiveness after a short period of operation due to the gas flow. The arrangement of silencer baffles according to the invention has a particularly high damping in the low frequency range, with in the present exemplary embodiment even an increase in resonance occurring at about 250 Hz, which is brought about by the layer portion with low flow resistance according to the principle of the resonator silencer. In contrast, both the ceramic wool that can be used in the silencer backdrops according to the invention and the stainless steel needle fleece are resistant up to 1000 ° C. The layer structure of the absorber body results in a suitable average flow resistance, by means of which damping values in the lower frequency range which are at least as high as by silencer backdrops with conventional, non-temperature-resistant rock wool-containing absorber bodies can be achieved.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, they are alternating have a different flow resistance Material layers made of ceramic wool and stainless steel needle fleece same thickness. The material layers could also be different Have thicknesses. In particular, could be the appropriate one Change in the damping frequency characteristic within the Layer structure, d. H. in the direction of the gas flow, a certain distribution of the thicknesses and densities of the individual layers of material can be provided. Even the type of Absorber material could change the Damping frequency characteristic suitably variable be provided. It would even be conceivable to have one yourself changing width of the material layers within the To provide stratification.
Instead of the cuboid described so far Absorber backdrops could also be in the form of Hollow cylinders can be designed for sound absorption arranged concentrically to each other in an exhaust duct can be.
