Verfahren zur Herstellung von plattstichartigen Stickereien auf der Zickzacknähmaschine. Die bisher bekanntgewordenen Verfahren zur Herstellung von plattstichartigen Stickereien mittels Zickzarknähmaschinen erforderten für das Verlegen und Anheften der als Stickfaden dienenden Kordel entweder ein laufend abwechselndes Übergehen vom Steppstich zum Zickzackstich oder aber ein Drehen des Stickrahmens an den Wendestellen der Kordel. Hierdurch wurde der Stickvorgang erschwert und verlangsamt. Diese Nachteile zu beseitigen bzw. ein schnelleres und einfacheres Arbeiten zu ermöglichen, ist Zweck vorliegender Erfindung. Erreicht wird dies dadurch, daB das lose Verlegen der den Stickfaden bildenden Kordel seitlich der fortlaufend schwingenden, hintereinander liegende Zickzackstiche erzeugenden Nadel erfolgt, und daB zum Anheften der Kordel der Kordelführer nur se lange in den Bereich der schwingenden Nadel gebracht wird, um die aus dem Kordelführer austretende Kordel mit einigen Zickzackstichen festzuheften. Es wird hierbei sowohl die durch fortlaufendes Vor- und Rückwärtsbewegen des Stickrahmens ausgelegte Kordel an den Wendestellen im Zickzackstich übernäht und angeheftet als auch in gerader Richtung Ober- und Unterfaden im Zickzackstich neben der Kordel vernäht.Process for the production of flat stitch-like embroidery on the Zigzag sewing machine. Durch einfaches kurzes Einschwenken des Kordelführers a an der Wendestelle wird diese nun in den Bereich der schwingenden Nadel gebracht, so daß die aus dem Kordelführer a austretende Kordel b erfaßt und mit einigen Zickzackstichen übernäht und festgeheftet wird (Abb. z). PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung von plattstichartigen Stickereien auf der Zickzacknähmaschine, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Verlegen der den Stickfaden bildenden Kordel seitlich der fortlaufend schwingenden Nadel erfolgt und das Anheften der Kordel an der gewünschten Stelle lediglich durch kurzes seitliches Einschwenken des Kordelführers in den Bereich der schwingenden Nadel geschieht.
