Description
The invention relates to a machining head for a device for cutting workpieces with light or particle beams
- a) einem Gehäuse, welches eine Austrittsöffnung für den Licht- oder Teilchenstrahl aufweist;a) a housing which has an outlet for the Has light or particle beam;
- b) einer Mehrzahl von symmetrisch um die Achse der Aus trittsöffnung angeordneten Düsen, aus welchen unter hohem Druck stehendes Prozeßgas in Einzelstrahlen aus tritt, die sich in der Achse des Licht- oder Teilchen strahles unter spitzem Winkel zu einem Gesamtstrahl vereinigen, der sich in Richtung des Licht- oder Teil chenstrahles auf das Werkstück zu bewegt und das Schmelz gut aus der Schnittfuge des Werkstückes austreibt.b) a plurality of symmetrical about the axis of the off nozzle arranged out of which under high pressure process gas in single jets that occurs in the axis of light or particle beam at an acute angle to a total beam unite that towards the light or part The jet moves towards the workpiece and the enamel drives out well from the kerf of the workpiece.
Im geometrischen Grundaufbau von Bearbeitungsköpfen von Schneidvorrichtungen, die mit energiereichen Strahlen arbeiten, lassen sich zwei Grundkonzeptionen unterscheiden:In the basic geometric structure of machining heads from Cutting devices with high-energy rays two basic concepts can be distinguished:
In the so-called "concentric arrangement", which consists of finally for laser beams, not for particle beams len, is a single nozzle for the process gas provided whose axis coincides with the axis of the laser beam is coaxial. With this arrangement, the nozzle is out of the nozzle emerging process gas jet from the outset the Rich device of the laser beam; the high pressure area of the process gas however, must be separated from the laser by windows or lenses become. This has optical disadvantages as a result of of warming effects the optical properties of the Window vary, especially a different thickness Lens effects can occur depending on the heating. Also the Soiling of the window affects the lens effect. By heating the window there is also a Power limitation of the laser used in the Area of 10 kW. The window itself is an expensive one Element, the pressure-tight storage is expensive. In addition there is a risk of the window being destroyed by mistake service, due to excessive gas pressure or excessive laser power, especially when the window is dirty, worse Cooling or incorrect installation. When the Window can release poison, causing the staff endangered and the machining head and the entire beam management system can be contaminated.
For this reason, the so-called "eccentric" is sometimes used "Arrangement of nozzle and laser beam during machining heads used. This is characterized in that the Nozzle outside the light or particle beam under one acute angle to its axis is arranged. Used if only one gas nozzle is used here, the process gas is hit blast onto the workpiece at an angle, causing machining process becomes directional. For contour cuts thus a tracking is necessary. In addition, with one The nozzle also changes laterally from the workpiece be moved, which means an increased adjustment effort tet.
Therefore, the eccentric arrangement is also available in the variant the ring nozzle, which does not require tracking, since the Ring nozzle and the process gas jet generated by it rotations are symmetrical. Due to the required large gap cross However, cutting the nozzle results in very high gas consumption.
The latter disadvantage of the ring nozzle has in turn led to a development in which several individual nozzles are arranged rotationally symmetrically around the axis of the light or particle beam, from which individual beams emerge. These individual beams then combine in the axis of the light or particle beam to form an overall beam. An example of this is described in DE-OS 36 30 127, which shows a processing head of the type mentioned. In the embodiment of FIGS. 4 and 5, three individual nozzles are available at an angular distance of 120 °, which have a circular or at least semicircular cross section at least at the point of exit of the gas. However, the total jet that results from this nozzle design and arrangement tends to "chain", that is, to alternately successive expansions of the jet in mutually perpendicular directions, or to windings in which one jet is around the other jet loops.
The object of the present invention is a machining design head of the type mentioned at the beginning, that with a low consumption of process gas as possible undisturbed overall beam is achieved.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß
This object is achieved in that
- a) zwei Düsen vorgesehen sind, die einander exakt diametral, bezogen auf die Achse der Austrittsöffnung des Gehäuses, gegenüberliegen;a) two nozzles are provided which are diametrically opposed to one another, related to the axis of the outlet opening of the housing, oppose;
- b) der Querschnitt der Düsen zumindest an der Austritts stelle des Prozeßgases rechteckig ist.b) the cross section of the nozzles at least at the outlet place of the process gas is rectangular.
So the invention is based on double knowledge, that to achieve an undisturbed overall beam two individual measures are necessary: First, should not just any number of individual nozzles and therefore individual ones rays can be used; rather, two of the like nozzles and individual jets are used that but then have to be diametrically opposite. To the others should use the round nozzle shape previously used be dispensed with and at least the nozzle instead given a rectangular cross-section at the exit point become. Meet the cross formed by these nozzles then also cut essentially rectangular part radiate the process gas on the axis of the outlet opening of the housing at an acute angle, so arise no more "chains" and loops around the individual beams. Rather, an overall beam is formed, which at most oblique compaction originating from the union shows bumps. However, the pressure in the overall jet is wide going constant, both in radial and in axial Direction.
The nozzles are preferably flat Laval nozzles. Under "levels" Nozzles are understood here to simplify such nozzles their cross-sectional shape at the exit point, as above already mentioned is rectangular. A "flat" Laval nozzle cut parallel to one side of the rectangle, the well-known shape of the Laval nozzle with a constriction upper half the exit point; in a perpendicular to this Cut in the direction is the cross-sectional shape of the nozzle rectangular. The use of Laval nozzles leads to one parallel free jet of the process gas after leaving the Jet. In any case, this applies when the working pressure is equal to the design pressure of the respective Laval nozzle. For cutting, i.e. the one that is primarily of interest here Intended use, however, is an ideal parallel beam unnecessary; can without significant impairment the pressure working range of the process gas by + or -30% deviate from the design pressure. The use of Laval nozzles enables larger nozzle variations in particular also across several nozzle end dimensions, without significantly influencing the cutting result. In this way, the nozzle according to the invention is also for less precise processing machines, e.g. B. for robots, suitable. The machining head according to the invention is suitable for uneven surfaces as well as for the removal of Material from the workpiece.
In a particular embodiment of the invention the two nozzles are combined in one nozzle body, which is attached to the bottom of the case.
Each nozzle can have its own pressure chamber.
The nozzle body can be manufactured particularly technically just make it out of two identical halves is composed, with two halves on each half beard, mutually perpendicular boundary surfaces of the the pressure chambers and the two nozzles are formed.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung wird nachfolgend 31 anhand der Zeichnung näher erläutert; Es zeigenAn embodiment of the invention is hereinafter 31 explained in more detail with reference to the drawing; Show it

The machining head shown in vertical section in FIG. 1 for a laser cutting device comprises a housing 1 which is attached with an upper opening 2 to the beam guide system of a high-power laser (not shown). The housing 1 of the machining head is slightly cranked so that the laser beam incident through the opening 2 strikes a first, flat deflecting mirror 3 , which is inserted into an opening 4 of the housing 1 .
The deflecting mirror 3 reflects the laser beam onto a second deflecting mirror 6 , which is inserted into an opening 5 of the housing 1 and which also has focusing properties. The deflection mirror 6 reflects the laser beam again in such a way that the axis of the now converging laser beam runs parallel to the axis of the laser beam incident through the opening 2 .
The laser beam leaves the housing 1 of the machining head through a lower, conical outlet opening 7 , the taper angle of which corresponds approximately to the convergence angle of the focused laser beam.
On the underside of the housing 1 , a nozzle body is set, which bears the overall reference number 8 . It is provided with an axial conical bore 9 which continues the conical outlet opening 7 on the underside of the housing 1 . The focal point of the laser beam lies outside the bore 9 and below the nozzle body 8 in the workpiece to be thought there, not shown in the drawing.
On diametrically opposite sides of the conical bore 9 of the nozzle body 8 there is in each case a pressure chamber 10 or 11 , to which process gas under high pressure is supplied via a bore 12 or 13 . The bores 12 and 13 are connected to an outer line 14 , which can be seen in FIG. 2 and is screwed onto the nozzle body 8 .
A Laval nozzle 15 and 16, respectively, opening from the underside of the pressure chambers 10 , 11 opens toward the lower end of the nozzle body 8 . The mouths of the Laval nozzles 15 , 16 in the lower end face of the nozzle body 8 are relatively close to the mouth of the central conical bore 9 through which the laser beam passes. The orientation of the Laval nozzles 15 and 16 is such that the process gas emerging from them meet at an acute angle in the axis of the bore 9 and thus the laser beam.
The Laval nozzles 15 and 16 have a rectangular cross section at least at the actual gas outlet, as can be seen in FIG. 2. They are exactly diametrically opposed to each other with respect to the axis of the bore 9 and thus the laser beam.
The nozzle body 8 , which is shown in Fig. 3, is particularly easy to manufacture. It is composed of two identical halves 8 a and 8 b. In a side surface of the half 8 a, two adjacent, mutually perpendicular boundary surfaces 10 a and 10 b of the pressure chamber 10 and the adjoining two boundary surfaces 15 a and 15 b of the nozzle 15 are formed . In addition, on this side surface of the half 8 a two adjacent, mutually perpendicular boundary surfaces 11 a and 11 b of the pressure chamber 11 and the adjoining boundary surfaces 16 a and 16 b of the nozzle 16 are formed. If the two halves 8 a and 8 b are folded together in the manner indicated in FIG. 3, the boundary surfaces 10 a, 10 b of the half 8 a and the boundary surfaces 10 c and 10 d of the half 8 b complete the pressure chamber 10 , in which the gas supply channel 13 of the half 8 b opens. Correspondingly, the boundary surfaces 15 a and 15 b of the half 8 a with the boundary surfaces 15 c and 15 d of the half 8 b complete the nozzle 15 . In the same way, boundary areas 11 a, 11 b, 16 a, 16 b form half Sa and boundary surfaces 11 c, 11 d, 16 c, 16 d half 8 b form pressure chamber 11 , in which gas supply channel 12 flows out, and the nozzle 16 .
During operation of the laser cutting device, the laser beam, as indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, passes through the housing 1 and the nozzle body 8 of the machining head and strikes the workpiece, not shown, arranged below the machining head. Via the line 14 and the bores 12 and 13 of the nozzle body 8 process gas is under high pressure (about 1 bar to typically 20 bar overpressure or above) introduced into the pressure chambers 10 and 11 of the nozzle body. 8 This process gas then emerges at supersonic speed from the flat Laval nozzles 15 and 16 at an acute angle to one another in two jets. The two individual beams unite in the axis of the laser beam in such a way that they now penetrate into the kerf parallel to the laser beam and drive out the melting material in a manner known per se.
Due to the flat, in particular non-round shape of the mouths of the Laval nozzles 15 and 16 , and due to their diametrically opposed arrangement, when the two jets emerging from the Laval nozzles 15 and 16 are combined, an overall jet is formed which neither tends to form a chain nor has individual strands wound around one another . You can only observe oblique compression impacts originating from the union, the strength of which depends on the angle between the two individual jets.
