Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a power measurement converter the preamble of claim 1.
Der hierbei erreichte Übersetzungsfehler beträgt etwa 10-4 (H. Seppä u. a., A Digital Three-Phase Watthour Meter, Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements, Conference Digest, Ottawa, June 1990). A Precision Thermal Wattmeter Having a Sampling Control System and an Analogue Feedback Loop, Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurement, Conference Digest, Ottawa, June 1990). Conventional power measurement converters are based on the principle of electromechanical conversion of the mean value of the power, that is to say the product of the instantaneous voltage and the current, into mechanical torque. The disadvantage of this type of implementation is the low accuracy that can be achieved and the sensitivity to external influences. Known power measurement converters generally consist of electronic circuits, the output of which is the mean value of the product of quantities which are proportional to the electrical voltage and the current. Multipliers with non-linear circuits or those based on the Hall effect are structurally simple in construction, but they do not allow a high measuring accuracy. From the point of view of the achievable measurement accuracy, multipliers, e.g. B. pulse or digital multiplier circuits that process the current value of the multiplied quantities. The disadvantage of these devices is their high purchase price and the fact that the maximum frequency of the input signal is limited to 10 3 to 10 5 Hz depending on the required accuracy in conventional semiconductor elements. The translation error achieved here is approximately 10 -4 (H. Seppä et al., A Digital Three-Phase Watthour Meter, Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements, Conference Digest, Ottawa, June 1990). The most accurate measurement methods for measuring electrical power are based on thermal effects. Thermo-electrical converters are used here. The power is measured indirectly through the rms values of the linear combinations of the input signals. The measurement error is about 10 -5 . However, transducers of this type are optimized for a narrow frequency range and are also cost-intensive (K. Takahashi, S. Kusui, A Precision Thermal Wattmeter Having a Sampling Control System and an Analogue Feedback Loop, Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurement, Conference Digest, Ottawa, June 1990 ). In US-PS 35 76 492 a thermoelectric power measurement converter is disclosed, the resistance of which is not controlled and has a constant value. Furthermore, a thermo-electrical power measurement converter is disclosed in US 35 01 696, whose heat-insulated resistor and its temperature sensor are formed by a single element, namely by a transistor.
Schließlich ist im Aufsatz H.L. Stott: "A Multirange Standard for AC/DC Difference Measurements". In: "IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INSTRUMENTATION AND MEASUREMENT"; Vol. IM-35, No. 4, December 1986, Seiten 387 ff. Finally, H.L. Stott: "A Multirange Standard for AC / DC Difference Measurements". In: "IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INSTRUMENTATION AND MEASUREMENT"; Vol. IM-35, No. 4, December 1986, pages 387 ff. (Cf. in particular page 388, Fig. 2 and 3) a generic thermo-electrical power measurement converter with resistors and temperature sensors revealed by the environment are thermally insulated and mutually thermally coupled. The However, resistance of this power measurement converter will not controlled and is therefore constant.
Based on the above prior art, the Invention based on the task, the generic Power converter convert so that the input current appropriate current can be maintained through the resistor.
The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1 solved.
Particular embodiments of the invention are in the subclaims specified.
By controlling the resistance, measurements can be made that were previously not possible.
The essence of the thermo-electrical according to the invention Power measurement converter consisting of a resistor and a Temperature sensor, which is based on a common of heat-insulated underlay is arranged in the surroundings, is that the resistance is one element, its resistance with the instantaneous value of the input signal is electronically controllable. The controllable resistor the input voltage is connected, and by control the resistance value of the controlled resistance becomes the maintain electrical current through the resistance which corresponds to the input current. The controlled resistance dissipated power, here the measured power corresponds to a change in temperature caused by the temperature sensor is detected. It is beneficial if the controlled resistor by a transistor is formed. In this case, control is with the help of an operational amplifier possible by the Resistance channel of the transistor to the inverting Input of the operational amplifier and its control electrode is connected to the output of the operational amplifier. A substitution method is made possible by a further, arranged on a common pad controlled resistance with which it is maintaining constant temperature is possible, the measured power to compensate with a substitution DC power. The Advantage of this way of achieving substitution performance is that the DC voltage is controlled Resistance is linearly dependent on the measured power, if the value of the direct current is at a constant value is maintained.
With a view to minimizing the influence of Ambient temperature on the measuring process is an arrangement advantageous when two in a common container separate and symmetrical with respect to the ambient heat flow arranged documents with controlled resistors and Heat sensors are provided. That on the one pad arranged system represents a measuring system, while the system arranged on the other pad Represents reference system.
With a view to minimizing the converter error, the arises on the basis of the power required to control the Transistor as a variable resistor, it is advantageous if this transistor by an electrical Field is controllable.
The thermo-electrical converter according to the invention enables direct measurements of electrical power in a wide range Frequency range with little effort and accuracy, the one with the classic thermo-electric comparators and converters of the effective value of the voltage or of the current is comparable.
An embodiment of the invention is in the drawing is shown schematically and is explained below.

Fig. 2 einen Schaltplan eines anderen Leistungsmeßkonverters. Fig. 2 is a circuit diagram of another power measurement converter.
In Fig. 1, the transistor as a resistor 1 and the temperature sensor 2 are formed by a diode which are arranged on a common carrier or base 3 , the emitter of the transistor 1 being connected to the inverting input of the operational amplifier 4 , while the control electrode of transistor 1 is connected to the output of operational amplifier 4 . The collector of transistor 1 forms the input for the voltage of the converter. The connection of the inverting input of the operational amplifier 4 to the emitter of the transistor 1 forms the current input of the converter. Information about the measured power is shown in the form of a voltage drop across the diode 2 . FIG. 2 shows that a further resistor 6, which is formed by a transistor and is controlled by a further operational amplifier 8, is arranged on the common base. The resistor 6 formed by the transistor can thus be used to transfer the substitution power to the base 3 by keeping its temperature, that is to say constant voltage drop across the diode, constant. The substitution performance can advantageously be provided either by the voltage on the collector of transistor 6 with a constant current of the emitter of the same transistor, or by the current of the emitter of the same transistor at a constant voltage of that collector. The power converter according to the invention can be used in the field of the most accurate measurements of electrical power and energy, as well as on their characteristics and in the field of mass production of corresponding measuring devices.
The power converter according to the invention can also be used signal processing as a high-precision multiplier to be used.
