Abstract

The double-row ball-bearing has one whole and one split race and a separate cage for each row with a protrusion engaging in a groove in the split race. The protrusions (6, 6`) have annular portions sloping away from the cages (3, 4) and each engaging in the groove (7, 7`) of the opposite half of the split race. There can be a further protrusion (10) on one cage at least, engaging in the groove in its own half. The section of the annular protions can intersect, their width being less than that of the gaps between those opposite. ADVANTAGE - Easy installation and dismantling, and needs no other shoulders on the whole race.

Description

The invention relates to a two-row Angular contact ball bearings according to the preamble of the claim 1.

The version described is contained in FR 23 08 013. With the highlighted features, there is a structural unit between all bearing parts. In particular, the divided inner rings are held together by projections formed on the cages and projecting into the grooves of the inner rings. In the z. As shown in Fig. 13 camp, it is necessary to provide on the one-piece outer ring also on the outer Stirnsei th shoulders, seen from the possible loading direction direction not necessary. But they are necessary here, because otherwise there is no unit. These additional outer shoulders are not only disadvantageous during manufacture, but also complicate the assembly and disassembly of the bearing. It is namely not a simple axial insertion depending on the row of balls with the divided inner ring any longer possible.

It is therefore an object of the invention a double row Angular contact ball bearings demonstrate these disadvantages does not own and in particular on the outside shoulders of the one-piece race are dispensed with can without losing the unit.

The solution to this problem is identified by the the features of claim 1 shown. The claim 2 contains a special version.

The fact that the projections obliquely away from the cage inclined ring sections exist in the grooves of the other split race ring, there is obviously also a structural unit when the outer shoulders of the one-piece race are gone be left. This one-piece race can be then make it easier and more precise. Besides, is storage easier to assemble and disassemble, this especially if the out as ring sections formed projections have a certain elasticity and into the grooves of the opposing rings can be snapped. This version still has the Advantage that two identical cages are used can, which simplifies the manufacture of the same and cheaper.

So that there is a structural unit even if the split rings not yet in the one-piece race are installed in addition to the encircled Ku other protrusions on the respective cages attached into the groove of the associated race intervention.

In the case of double-row bearings, in which the Axial force components change, as is the case with Wheel bearings of motor vehicles in the case of Cornering is possible, it is for the radio ability of the camp if the two Twist rows of balls against each other in the circumferential direction can. This is achieved here in that the crossing ring sections each in broader free spaces of the opposite ring sections between the intersecting sections thereby column. The latter leave a relative proof the two cages and thus the two balls hen against each other in the circumferential direction without it  to force or destruction of the cages is coming.

The invention is illustrated by two figures purifies.

Fig. 1 shows a partial longitudinal section through an inventions inventions bearing.

Fig. 2 shows a radial top view of the two rows of balls in the cutout.

Referring to FIG. 1, the double row angular contact ball bearing in O-arrangement of a one-piece outer ring 1, two rows of balls 2 with the associated comb cages 3 and 4, as well as the symmetrical inner rings 5. On the comb cages 3 and 4 are only projections 6 , 6 'is formed, which protrude into the grooves 7 ', 7 of the other race. In the assembled state he gives himself a structural unit with these simple means even if the outer rims on the one-piece outer ring 1 (see region 8 ) are omitted.

Since it is often also desirable that the bearing forms a structural unit in the semi-assembled state, the balls, as shown in FIG. 2, are encompassed by web sections 9 of the comb cages and also have a plurality of further projections 10 distributed around the circumference, which in the Grooves 7 , 7 'of the associated inner ring 5 engage. Both measures bring about a structural unit of the respective inner ring 5 with the associated ball rows 2 together with the cage 3 or 4 if these parts are not yet installed in the one-piece outer ring 1 .

Since it is often desirable that the two Kugelrei hen 2 can rotate against each other, are, as Fig. 2 shows, the ring sections 6 , 6 'narrower than the free spaces 11 , between the opposite ring sections 6 ', 6 or other projections 10 are available. These free spaces 11 then allow the rows of balls 2 to be rotated in the circumferential direction by a certain angle and thus prevent higher friction between the balls and the cages or damage to the cages.
