Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for reducing the sul fat content of Ab containing disulfide-containing materials dumping of brown coal mining, outflowing waters.
The overburden that is extracted during the course of lignite mining and is tilted again, contains sulfur iron compounds (Disul fid) in differently large concentrations, which under the prolonged during the mining process Lowering the groundwater and the associated aeration of the Mountains are chemically unstable. This sulfur iron oxidizes and hydrolyzes both abiotic and under the catalytic influence of the ubiquitous Thiobacillus ferrooxidans. At the Restoration of the groundwater in the tailings dump and its later outflow then comes strongly acidic sulfate and iron containing water in the uncrushed aquifer undercurrent or in the surface water.
The disulfide contents can be in the quaternary and tertiary Layers in different levels of the mountain ratio be moderately low. With regard to the different concentrations tration of disulfide in the individual mountain strata is the half the possibility of selective extraction and subsequent tilting of the clearing material depending on of their respective disulfide content. That is, disulfide poor (with a disulfide content of less than 0.1% by weight) and disulfide-rich (with a disulfide content of more than 0.1% by weight) materials can be broken down separately and then again in a new way to be arranged overburden dump.
In view of this, there is the task of the present inventor the new kip that forms within the overburden to influence pen water in such a way that it is largely without Contact with disulfide-rich waste material can flow out or the amount of water that the disulfide-rich waste material actually flowed through to keep it as low as possible. Au In addition, the quality of the few, due to the disulfide-rich Material flowing water when it exits this dimension material can be improved.
According to the invention this object is achieved in that Construction of the spoil tip above disulfide-rich materials arranges well water-permeable, low-disulfide materials.
According to the invention, therefore, the disulfide-rich Materials arranged in the lower part of the overburden.
In contrast, the low-sulfur layers in the upper part the tip falls in such a way that well water permeable sands and gravel in the upper part of the later bottom can be deposited downstream.
This specific tilting has the following advantages: The deep disulfide-rich waste material becomes relative quickly covered and arrives when the groundwater rises again sers first of all in the unventilated of the ground water area. As a result, the oxidation process of the disulfide quickly braked or stopped.
Because of the greater permeability of the low-disulfide quartä ren and tertiary sands and gravel in the upper part of the Kippenkör pers flows in this way after the groundwater has risen most of the ver from the precipitation to the tip seeping water already in this upper aquifer from the overburden. The thickness of the layer of disul fidarium materials is due to the from the regeneration area amount of water flowing out of the tip is determined. The in this Be abundant water flow has a pH of mostly over 6 and makes about 9/10 of the total flow out of the overburden emitting amount of water. The share of about 1/10, which in the lower part of the tip remains as an outflow, points to the Groundwater rises to a pH of mostly below 6. The one that gets into the upper aquifers in the area So tipping water is practically not affected by acidification still affected by iron and sulfate pollution.
To further reinforce these effects, fiction according to additional sealing layers in the overburden builds. The most effective are edge seals, which to inhibit or prevent the outflow of the contaminated tipping water are suitable. If the horizontal aquifer is good are permeable to water, the additional introduction of a Tilt base seal useful. In addition, above the disulfide-rich material yet another sealing layer be introduced.
The introduction of chemical buffer materials is suitable for this net to slow down the acidification process of the tipping waters or before the water comes out of the dump do. In the sense of the invention, this knowledge is used by adding the difference in addition to the aforementioned features arrangement of sulfide-containing materials and the arrangement Buffer material into the overburden tip is introduced. Has been particularly effective in this related the installation of a layer of buffer material in the Downstream areas of the contaminated tip water proved. As Buffer material is particularly suitable for materials containing carbonate lien such. B. limestone or power plant ash.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the puf material also mixed with the sealing material or also can be installed without additional sealing material.
With such arrangements of buffer material, that the small amount of tipping water still from the sulfate loaded tipping part emerges into the environment, no longer with Acid and iron is loaded.
If the sealing materials are installed, for example, with Earthwork equipment, the thickness of the sealing layer between 0.2 and 2 m, preferably 0.5 m. When using large devices of the open-cast mine can apply the sealing layers to a correspondingly larger water permeability coefficient Kf between 5 and 20 m.
Es zeigen jeweils in einem nicht maßstäblichen Querschnitt dieIn the following, the invention is explained on the basis of some embodiments examples described in more detail. It doesn't show in one scale cross section the
Fig. 1 eine erste Ausgestaltung einer Abraumkippe, Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of a waste dump,
Fig. 2 eine zweite Ausgestaltung einer Abraumkippe und Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment of a spoil tip and
Fig. 3 eine dritte Ausgestaltung einer Abraumkippe. Fig. 3 shows a third embodiment of a spoil tip.
As can be seen in Fig. 1, the uncrushed mountains in the order from top to bottom of sand and gravel (quaternary), clay, sand and coal (tertiary).
Within the mountains, the groundwater level 4 drops after the ascent to the body of water 13 to which the groundwater flows. The spoil tip 14 connects to the uncrushed mountains and fills the excavated area to the point where the coal lies. During the mining of the coal, the groundwater level 4 was lowered to the broken line 3. After carburization and backfilling, the groundwater level corresponding to line 4 is then established in the tailings dump 14 .
The construction of the inner tilt shown in the embodiment was carried out according to the invention in such a way that 14 disulfide-rich material 2 and above it low-disulfide material 1 was arranged in the depth of the tilt. The disulphide-poor clearing material 1 is, for example, well water-permeable sand and gravel.
As a result of the precipitation 15 coming down to the spoil tip 14 in the course of time, water enters the spoil tip 14 . This water flows after it has risen to the upper part of the tip 14 , where the low-disulfide material has collapsed, predominantly in the direction of arrows 5 again and occurs at the respective edges of the tip 14 in the uncrushed mountains.
The water penetrating into the deeper regions of the tip 14 enters the uncut mountains in the direction of the arrows 16 . The size and length of the arrows 5 and 16 indicate that the proportion of rainwater 15 which flows out of the upper part of the tip is comparatively larger than that portion which flows out of the lower part of the spoil tip 14 . This measure already has the effect that comparatively little precipitation water 15 enters the layers of disulfide-rich material 2 of the tip and from there reaches the uncrushed mountains. In addition, as a result of the groundwater level 4 re-established, the lower part of the spoil tip 14 is already completely in the groundwater anyway, thereby significantly reducing the conversion of the disulfides into sulfates.
According to the embodiment of FIG. 2, the lower part of the tailings dump 14 , where the disulfide-rich materials 2 are deposited, is separated from this rock at least laterally, ie towards the uncrushed rock, with rocker edge seals 6 and 7 . If the lying surface 17 of the mined seam should prove to be permeable to water, an additional tilting base seal 8 can prevent the tilting water 19 from passing into the lying surface 17 . As appropriate, finally, a comple the above-described system has proven Zung, where even a wide re sealing layer 9 above the lien disulfidreichen material 2 is arranged, which separates the disulfidreichen materials 2 from the disulfidarmen materials. 1
The sealing layer 9 consists of a mixture of clay, silt and sand and has a thickness between 0.25 and 2 m, preferably 1 m, if this layer 9 was produced with earthworks. When using large devices, there are correspondingly greater thicknesses of the sealing layers 5 , 6 and 7 .
According to the third inventive embodiment, possibility of a spoil bank 14 of FIG. 3 is the disulfidreiche material 2 at least in the, the unverritzten Mountain facing sides, surrounded in the lower part of the butt 14 to a layer of cushioning material 10 and 11 respectively. In addition, a layer 12 of buffer material can also be arranged on the tilt base. The buffer material consists of carbonate-containing materials, such as limestone or power plant ash. The layers 10 to 12 can also be provided without the presence of further sealing layers 6 , 7 , 8 and 9 , they can also be arranged outside the sealing layers 6 , 7 and 8 towards the uncrushed mountains. The arrangement depends on the particular circumstances. Also for the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 of the construction of a spoil tip 14 according to the invention applies that the major part 5 of the penetrated rainwater 15 already flows out of the low-disulfide layers 1 and that a much smaller proportion 16 that the disulfide-rich material 2 is sufficient and after leakage of the buffer material 10 , 11 and 12 and the sealing layers 6 , 7 and 8 penetrates into the unscrubbed mountains.
However the spoil tip may be designed in detail, all embodiments have in common that a relatively moderately large proportion 5 of the penetrating into the tip 14 low water 15 is abge leads immediately after the penetration without the water having the opportunity that absorb dissolved iron and sulfate. Where this recording is nevertheless unavoidable, that portion 16 of the rainwater 15 is kept so low with the measure according to the invention that the resulting effluent 16 does not constitute an impairment in the sense of world-defining quality features for the unrested mountains or groundwater.
The same applies to what has been said in the examples of inner tipping shown for outer tipping, which are usually created above the terrain surface 18 of the uncrushed mountains.
1320 kg.
ergibt. The thickness of the layers 10 , 11 and 12 with buffer material depends on the total sulfur content of the spoil tip 14 . The carbonate content is adjusted so that it is sufficient for buffering over the desired period. This determines the thickness of the respective layer 10 , 11 and 12 of buffer material. Below is a calculation example:
A spoil body with an area of 1 m 2 , a layer thickness of 100 m and a pore space of 30% and an FeS 2 content of 0.2% by weight contains an FeS 2 amount of 370 kg, corresponding to approx. 330 mol . This can result in 1135 kg of gypsum and 317 kg of Fe (OH) 3 when reacting with lime (Ca). The amount of lime required for buffering is 4 · 3 300 mol = 1320 kg. The lime content of the buffering layer should make up about 5%, so that the layer thickness is 14 m.
