Will man also ein Brikett
Method for producing coke briquettes. The purpose of the invention is
the previously existing problem with coking plants and gas stations, the lack of sufficient
Usability of the in relatively large: amounts in the form of dust, grits
or to dispose of small amounts of coke waste. Attempts with the previously known
The means to obtain useful coke briquettes had to fail for the following reasons:
In the production of such briquettes, a binding agent must be used that
can be organic or inorganic. By using organic
Binding agents such as tar, pitch or the like, which are themselves fuels, change
the character of the coke to be briquetted; a mixed briquette is created in which
the rich fuel serving as a binding agent burns out with a long flame while
the hard-burning coke is only incompletely burned. So you want a briquette
To produce coke as the only fuel, you have to use inorganic binders
use. However, these have a slag-forming and pore-clogging effect, so that the
Burn-off from the outside to the inside is severely hindered and usually a slag-coated
What remains is a core of fuel that cannot be burned. Also -will through this
changed the original valuable properties of the coke.
The invention now relates to a method by which coke dust
processed into usable briquettes serving as a full substitute for lumpy coke
can be.
One of the most valuable properties of lumpy coke is its
Porosity. But if you put a coke briquette according to the previously known
procedure
here, the natural porosity of the raw material is determined by the pressing pressure and through
Most of the inorganic binder penetrates the fuel pores
eliminated. Such a briquette burns poorly and burns only imperfectly.
There is an essential feature of the method according to the invention
accordingly in the use of: Means by which the briquetting lost
Part of the natural porosity of the coke is replaced. These funds exist initially
that in the briquette holes, channels o. The like. Are arranged after
The position and cross-section are suitable for the part of the
to replace natural porosity of the coke, and that should according to the invention
These perforations, channels or the like are chosen so that the wall thickness of the briquette
is at no point greater than the permissible burn-off distance.
The following is to be understood by the burn path: becomes a coke briquette
Thrown into the furnace, the fire attacks the accessible surfaces from the outside
inside. The progress of the fire inwards is an obstacle
clogging of pores and slag formation due to the added inorganic binder
so that the fire stops prematurely with larger, unperforated briquettes.
The permissible burn-off path is therefore equal to the wall thickness that the molding
must not exceed at any point in order to burn completely. This way of burning
can be calculated for each individual case from the factors on which it depends
is e.g. B. the type and grain size of the raw material, the type and amount of the inorganic
Binder and the amount of pressure applied.
It must have been suggested before, fuel briquettes
to provide perforations that increase their combustion surface and heating power
should; However, coke dust or coke coke was not used as the starting material here,
so that these perforations were neither intended nor suitable as a substitute for lump coke
usable briquette made of pure coke dust using a known inorganic one
Create binder.
