Description

Gasbrenner. 1:s hat sich ergeben, daß bei Brennern ohne vorherige Luftzumischung im Brenner oder Gasrohr die Form der Düsen eine große Rolle spielt, und daß ganz besonders günstig kegelförmig oder sonstwie konisch gestaltete Gasdüsen wirken. Der Unterschied in der vollständigen (leuchtfreien) Verbrennung des Gases durch Düsen von gleichem Gasdurchlaß, z. B. bei einer zylindrischen und einer konischen Düse ist überraschend. Während im ersten Falle eine leuchtende Flamme entsteht, ist im zweiten Falle die Flamme völlig blau. Dementsprechend ist auch der Nutzeffekt ein wesentlich günstigerer. Er beruht wahrscheinlich darauf, daß die Gasmoleküle in stärkere wirbelnde (divergierende) Bewegung beim Austritt aus der konischen Düse versetzt «-erden, wodurch eine bessere Mischung des Gases mit der Verbrennungsluft herbeigeführt wird.
