As Fig. 1 shows, the arrangement in principle of a Temperaturmeßquarz 1, a measuring circuit 2, and a converter circuit 3. The temperature measuring quartz 1 is exposed to radiation 4 , the power of which is to be measured. The temperature measuring quartz 1 changes the frequency-dependent course of its reactance depending on the quartz temperature, which results in accordance with the received radiation power. The change in the reactance is detected by a measuring circuit 2 and by means of a converter circuit 3 in the measured variable "radiation power" is converted. The latter is finally displayed, registered or otherwise output in an evaluation circuit 5 .
Ein Ausgang der Wandlerschaltung 8 liegt an einer Auswerteschaltung 9.The first embodiment of a measuring arrangement shown in FIG. 2 contains an oscillator circuit 6 , the frequency-determining element of which is the temperature measuring crystal 1 , a measuring circuit 7 which measures the frequency or the period of the oscillator oscillation generated, and a converter circuit 8 which determines the frequency or Period duration converted into the measured variable "radiation power". An output of the converter circuit 8 is at an evaluation circuit 9 .
The detail of the first embodiment shown in detail in FIG. 3 contains between the oscillator circuit 6 ( FIG. 2) and the measuring circuit 7 ( FIG. 2) a first mixer 11 acted upon by a local oscillator 10 , a low-pass filter 12 , a second mixer 13 , a control amplifier 14 , a voltage controllable oscillator 15 and a frequency divider 16 , the output of which acts on the input of the frequency divider 16 .
The output signal of the oscillator 6 is first implemented in the first mixer 11 by means of the signal of the local oscillator 10 in a low frequency range and fed to the low-pass filter 12 . The frequency change of the oscillator signal caused by the radiation power is retained. The output signal of the low-pass filter 12 is reset by means of the frequency multiplier formed by the second mixer 13 , the control amplifier 14 , the voltage-controllable oscillator 15 and the frequency divider 16 to a higher frequency position. Here, the frequency change is multiplied accordingly the division ratio of the frequency divider 19 . The further evaluation of the signal of the oscillator 15 he follows as in Fig. 3 (7, 8, 9).
In the second embodiment shown in FIG. 4 egg ner measuring arrangement, the radiation 17 to be measured passes via a beam interrupter 18 to the temperature measuring crystal 19 , which determines the frequency of an oscillator 20 . The oscillator signal is fed to a frequency divider 21 , the output signal of a gate 22 controls the counting pulses of a reference oscillator 23 passes to a frequency counter 24 which determines the period of the oscillator signal. A control circuit 26 synchronized by the frequency divider 21 actuates on the one hand the beam interrupter 18 and on the other hand a converter and evaluation circuit 27 which determines the difference between the periods of the oscillator oscillation, which are generated with and without irradiation, and the difference in the desired measured variable "Radiant power" converted.
The third exemplary embodiment of a measuring arrangement shown in FIG. 5 contains a reactance measuring bridge 28 , an automatic adjustment circuit 29 and a converter and evaluation circuit 30 .
On a first bridge diagonal there is on the one hand the series connection of a temperature measuring crystal 31 and a bridge branch 32 adjustable by the self-adjusting adjustment circuit 28 and on the other hand the series connection of two normal resistors 33 , 34 . A generator 35 feeds the first bridge diagonal.
A second bridge diagonal lies at the input of the automatic adjustment circuit 29 , which provides an adjustment manipulated variable 36 for setting the bridge arm 32 . The adjustment manipulated variable 36 also arrives at the converter and evaluation circuit 30 , which converts it into the desired measured variable "radiation power".
Fig. 6 shows a longitudinal section along the section line VII-VII in Fig. 7 and Fig. 7 shows a cross section along the section line VI-VI in Fig. 6 through an embodiment of a temperature measuring quartz. He uses a TO-3 housing, the cap 36 of which is provided at the top with a cutout, which is sealed gas-tight with a transparent pane 37 .
Below the disk 37 and parallel to it, a quartz disk 38 is arranged, which is coated on its top with an electrode 39 and on its underside with an electrode 40 . The electrodes 39 and 40 are connected via bonding wires 41 with pins 42 which are insulated through a housing bottom 43 . The electrode 39 facing the window 37 has a black layer 44 which is produced by chemical treatment of the electrode 39 . The quartz disk 38 is mounted in a quartz holder made of plastic, which consists of a ring 45 fastened to the housing base 43 , which has four extensions 46 which engage on the edge of the quartz disk 38 . The inside of the housing is filled with a thermally conductive gas, e.g. B. with neon, argon or nitrogen.
The black layer 44 is hit by the incident radiation through the disk 37 , the power of which is to be determined, and converts this into heat, which reaches the quartz disk 38 via the upper electrode 39 . The quartz disk 38 is coupled via the gas filling to the housing bottom 43 acting as a heat sink. When radiation strikes, the quartz disc 38 heats up, causing its frequency-dependent reactance curve or its resonance frequency to change as a function of the radiation power.
The black layer 44 can also be produced by a lacquer treatment or by vapor deposition on the electrode 39 .
