Abstract
Description
The invention relates to cationically curable organopolysiloxanes with over Dihydropyran groups bonded to SiC groups, their preparation and their use as casting compounds, coating agents and as reactive Modifier for cationically curable compounds.
In addition to the free-radically polymerizing ones that harden when exposed to UV rays Systems have been cationically curable, epoxy or curable in recent years Systems containing vinyl compounds have been developed in which the Hardening in particular by diaryliodonium and triarylsulfonium salts is initiated. The advantage of the cationic curing systems lies in the insensitivity of the hardening reaction to atmospheric oxygen, the rapid film curing and the environmental friendliness of these systems.
There is extensive patent literature on this. The cationic hardening of epoxy compounds with onium salts of V., VI. and VII. main group is u. a. in DE patents 25 18 656, 25 18 652 and 25 18 639. The cationic curing of vinyl monomers is Subject of U.S. Patents 46 17 238, 45 18 788 and 47 05 887.
The UV-curable vinyl ether compounds have due to their rapid hardenability, economic processability and their Particular attention was paid to environmental friendliness. Such vinyl ether compounds can be produced in various ways. In an overview of "speed-determining factors the cationic UV curing "in the magazine color and lacquer, 1987, Pages 803 to 807, the following synthesis options are given:
- 1. Basenkatalysierte Acetylenaddition an Diole nach Reppe 1. Base-catalyzed acetylene addition to diols according to Reppe
- 2. Phasentransferkatalysierte Kondensation von 2-Chlorethylvinylether und Diolen 2. Phase transfer catalyzed condensation of 2-chloroethyl vinyl ether and diols
Catalyzed rearrangement of the bis-allyl ether into the corresponding bis-methyl vinyl ether
The addition according to Reppe is from an economic point of view not feasible. The second reaction requires 2-chloroethyl ether its use is undesirable for physiological reasons is.
The vinyl ethers have the disadvantage in common that in the presence of Moisture and traces of a breakdown of the enol ether in acid low-boiling, odor-intensive carbonyl compounds take place:
They are also cationically curable systems based on vinyl Organopolysiloxanes containing ether groups known and z. B. in the U.S. Patent 4,617,238. This also occurs with these connections described cleavage into volatile, odor-intensive carbonyl compounds and siloxanes with -COH groups.
With the present invention, the technical problem of being ready position of cationically curable organomodified organopolysiloxanes, which under comparable conditions no low-boiling, smell Release intense carbonyl compounds, be solved. About that in addition, the organomodified compounds should be simple and produced economically and under comparatively mild Conditions can be hardened cationically.
Die erfindungsgemäßen neuen kationisch härtbaren organomodifizierten Organopolysiloxane weisen über SiC-Gruppen gebundene Dihydropyrangruppen auf und entsprechen der allgemeinen FormelThe novel cationically curable organomodified according to the invention Organopolysiloxanes have dihydropyran groups bonded via SiC groups on and correspond to the general formula

To check the application properties of the inventor According to modified organopolysiloxanes, the substances with 2 wt .-% of a suitable photoinitiator. This mixture of substance to be cured with the photoinitiator is in a layer thickness about 3 mm into an aluminum lid (diameter 50 mm) and under a UV lamp (medium pressure mercury vapor lamp 80 W / cm) hardened.
The following table gives the necessary for complete curing Exposure time and the consistency of the cured polysiloxanes again.
None of the substances showed any noteworthy before or during curing Odor nuisance. The fact that the organopolysiloxanes have no surface tack after curing, shows that the hardening reaction is insensitive to oxygen. Also the Residual adhesive strength (the remaining adhesive ability of an adhesive tape [Tesa 4154] after pressing once on the hardened organopolysiloxane) none of the substances is below 90%. That means that after the Curing no large amounts of unpolymerized monomers can migrate to the adhesive surface of the adhesive tape.
