Abstract

Electrical contacts made of silver and tin-oxide, and possibly other additives are used in combination with an opposing contact of Ag with 3% Cu. Other advantages are that the Ag/SnO2 contacts are thermally more stable which shows in its reduced burn-off rate and longer life. The material is also easier to make and to machine.

Aufgrund der höheren thermischen Stabilität von Zinnoxid gegenüber Kadmiumoxid ergibt sich zudem eine deut­ liche verminderte Abbrandrate, die zu längerer Lebensdauer im Schaltgerät führt. Aus wirtschaftlichen und thermischen Gründen wird bei Schützen im mittleren Strombereich (30-80 A) eine unsymmetrische Paarung der Kontaktwerkstoffe vorgezogen. Eine charakteristische Paarung ist z.
