Durch eine besondere obere Abströmungs,-öffnung x können diese Gase die Vorrichtung verlassen. Ferner muß eine entsprechende Feuerung oder Hitzequelle eingebaut sein; - beispiels#-weise kann eine zum Einblasen flüssigen oder staubförmigen Brennstoffes nach Art von Drehrohröfen geeignete Düse e (Abb. t) angeordnet werden. Zum Agglomerieren usw. empfiehlt sich der Ein- oder Anbau eines besonderen Feuerschachtes f mit gesonderter Einschüttvorrichtungg (Abb. z), falls der Brennstoff nicht zugleich mit dem Brenngut aufgegeben werden soll.. Die Feuerstelle wird zweckmäßigerweise so weit vom Ende der Brenngutbahn entfernt gelegt (beispielsweise in den vorletzten oder in einen noch, früheren Zug), daß unter der Feuerzone noch eine Abkühlungszone gebildet wird, die das Brenngut zu durchlaufen hat, bevor es denl Ofen verläßt.
