Respirator. ' Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Respirator, der
aus einer die Nase umschließenden Hülse sowie einem mit Filterstoff überzogenen,
zur Abdeckung der Nasenlöcher geeigneten und durchlöcherten Boden besteht und sich
durch Klemmbacken an der Nase hält. Das Wesen der Erfindung liegt darin, daß die
Klemmbacken durch federnde, von der den Siebboden tragenden Hülse nach beiden Nasenflanken
hin und sich nahezu kreisförmig verbreiternde Lappen gebildet sind; letztere bilden
mit der Hülse ein Stück, so daß sie die Nase oder auch das Nasenbein federnd zu
umgreifen und so unter der Einwirkung des Klemmdruckes das Gerät dicht an die Nase

Der Respirator besteht in an sich bekannter Weise aus der den unteren
Teil der Nase umgreifenden und der Nasenform angepaßten Hülse d, welche mittels
der Lappen b den durchlöcherten Siebboden c trägt. Auf diesen Siebboden ist der
aus Watte, Filz oder sonst geeignetem Material bestehende Filterstoff d aufgebracht;
der durch die aus der Wandung der Hülse a herausgestanzten und nach innen umgebogenen
Lappen e in seiner Lage gesichert ist. Die Hülse a trägt an ihrem oberen Ende beiderseits
der Nase rückwärts vorspringende Lappen f, welche aus federndem Stoff bestehen und
der Nasenform derart angepaßt sind, daß sie einerseits gegen die Nase durchgewölbt
sind, anderseits aber auch sowohl nach vorn als auch nach oben halbkreisförmig verlaufen.
Durch diesen Verlauf der federnden Lappen nach oben wird der Vorteil erzielt, daß
unter dem Einfluß der federnden Lappen und der auftretenden Klemmwirkung eine nach
oben ziehende Seitenkraft wirksam wird, welche das ganze Gerät nach oben zu ziehen
sucht und dadurch den Filterstoff mit dem Siebboden gegen die Unterkante der Nase
oder auch die Nasenlöcher anpreßt. Durch den Filterstoff werden in der Luft enthaltene
Staubteile wirksam zurückgehalten
und dadurch das Atmen erleichtert.
Anderseits läßt sich aber auch der Filterstoff mit Heilmitteln tränken, die leicht
verflüchtigende Stoffe enthalten und dadurch nach Anlegen des Gerätes in die Nase
gesogen werden können. Die Hülse sowohl als auch der Siebboden können natürlich
aus beliebigem Stoff, wie Blech, Zelluloid o. dgl., hergestellt sein. Da besondere
Befestigungsvorrichtungen, die den Kopf oder die Ohren umziehen, vermieden werden,
so läßt sich der beschriebene Respirator nicht nur leicht in der Tasche mitführen,
sondern er wird im Bedarfsfalle mit einem einzigen Handgriff rasch auf die . Nase
aufzuschieben und von ihr wieder zu entfernen sein. Dem Gerät kann eine dem Fleischton
