Diese Kontaktbrücke legt sich mit ihren beiden Enden gegen die Kontaktfedern c, d, die an der Türwand e befestigt sind und deren Leitungen /, g zum Stromerzeuger und zu dem optischen oder akustischen Wecker führen. Die Kontakte c, d sind, gegeneinander isoliert, sie werden, wie Abb. ι und 2 zeigen, dann leitend überbrückt, wenn der Zapfen 3 und die Schließstange 4 in die Offenstellung der Tür gebracht sind und geben in dieser das Warnsignal ab. Wird dagegen der Schloßriegel 2 vorgeschoben und dadurch der Zapfen 3 und die Sperrstange 4 in die Schließstellung gebracht, so tritt die Kontaktbrücke b des Armes α von den Kontaktfedern c, d zurück. Der Stromkreis ist also unterbrochen und damit der optische oder akustische Wecker außer Tätigkeit gesetzt. Es ist selbstverständlich, daß man bei offen zu haltender Tür den Stromkreis f, g durch einen entsprechenden Ausschalter unterbrechen kann, um bei beabsichtigter, offen zu haltender Tür ein Wecken zu vermeiden. Die Kontaktbrücke b rückt von den Federkontakten c, d ab. Der Wecker ist also stillgesetzt.
