Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for a vehicle Warning lamp, which is operated during a braking operation, to the drivers give the following vehicles a warning signal that indicates that the Vehicle slows down or stops.
As shown in Fig. 1, a stop lamp 3 is installed on a protruding part of a rear door 2 on newer vehicles regardless of a brake light 4 , which is provided on the rear end portion of the vehicle body. When the brake of the vehicle is actuated, the stop lamp 3 is switched on together with the brake light 4 in order to steer the driver's attention in the following vehicle more reliably onto the deceleration or stopping and thereby prevent a collision. Such a holding lamp is e.g. B. explained in the unchecked, published Japanese utility model applications 61-1 90 779 and 61-1 90 780 explained.
The individual known holding lamp 3 is however switched off immediately after the release of the brake; that is, the warning signal disappears in a moment. Therefore, the warning signal would become monotonous, and accordingly the effect of the warning signal on the driver of the vehicle following behind is reduced so much that it is dangerous.
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to explain the above switched off problem associated with a known holding lamp. There It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus for a Holding lamp of a vehicle to be provided by the driver of the following Vehicle can be warned reliably.
The above object of the invention is achieved by a device for a stop lamp reached, according to the invention, several light-emitting auxiliary average at predetermined intervals in the width direction of a drive Stuff body are arranged and a controller to turn on the light emitting aids in the operation of a brake and its Ab circuit provided when releasing the brake in a time division process is. In the device for the vehicle lamp according to the invention when releasing the brake numerous light-emitting aids in one Time division procedure switched off.

Fig. 3 is a front view with the essential components of a top-mounted holding lamp (hereinafter referred to simply as a holding lamp), and which is installed in the rear flap, which is an example of the device with the holding lamp according to the invention. Fig. 4 is a section along a line AA of Fig. 3, Fig. 5 along a line BB , Fig. 6 along a line CC , Fig. 7 along a line DD , Fig. 8 along a line EE , Fig. Fig. 9 is a section along line FF of Fig. 3. Fig. 10 is an enlarged view of a light control part. FIGS. 11 and 12 each show a section along the line GG and HH of Fig. 10.
FIGS. 3 to 9 show a rear outer surface 10 of the vehicle body (Fig. 5), one on the outer surface 10 attached by means of a seal 12, rear flap 11 which is wing shaped and long stretches since Lich of the vehicle body, and a stop lamp 13 , which is embedded in a groove 14 which extends laterally in the lower portion of the central part of the bulge of the rear flap 11 . The holding lamp 13 is also extended laterally. In particular, the Hal telampe 13 has a lamp unit 17 with a plate-shaped lamp body 15 and a front lens 16 , which is substantially U-shaped in section and opened towards the front from the vehicle body. The open end of the front lens 16 is z. B. attached by ultrasonic welding to the front surface of the lamp body 15 (which is placed toward the rear of the vehicle body). In the lamp unit 17 , printed plates 18-1 and 18-2 , on which numerous photodiodes 19 are mounted, and a control plate 100 are installed (which will be described in detail later).
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, a plurality of loading pieces 20 extend from the rear surface of the lamp body 15 toward the front of the vehicle body. These fasteners 20 are attached to the upper part of the groove 14 with screws 21 and nuts 22 . The upper outer surface of the front lens 16 is bound to the upper part of the groove 14 with a double-sided adhesive tape 23 ( Fig. 7) or an adhesive. On the rear surface of the lamp body 15 , a connection hole 24 and a connection tube 25 ( FIGS. 4 and 8) are provided at a predetermined position to make a connection between the inside of the lamp unit 17 and that of the door 11 . The connecting pipe 25 runs toward the front of the vehicle body, and its end portion is bent down to prevent rain water or the like from entering. Since the inside of the lamp unit 17 is connected to the outside through the connecting pipe 25 , air flows freely into the lamp unit 17 so that the temperature and humidity inside the lamp body substantially match the outside atmosphere, thereby causing water droplets to form or change Temperature and the pressure within the lamp unit be made as low as possible or prevented, which is caused by switching the photodiodes 19 on and off. At the inner open end of the connecting tube 25 Ver, that is, at the connecting hole 24 , a filter 24 ( FIGS. 4 and 8) is provided. The filter 26 is made of a porous film, e.g. B. a fluorine film, a polyethylene film, an ultra-macromolecular polyethylene film or acrylic film, that is, it has a high gas permeability. Therefore, the air can freely pass through it. However, its porosity is so low that the entry of water is prevented.
In the central portion of the elongated lamp body 15 , an execution hole 29 ( Figs. 4 and 5) is formed to insert wires 28 into the rear door. One end of the wires 28 is connected to the electrical circuitry on the control plate 100 , and the other end is inserted through the rear door 11 and an insertion hole 32 ( FIG. 5) formed in the rear outer surface 10 of the vehicle body Vehicle body introduced. As shown in Figures 4 and 6, erstrec ken several plate holding pieces 33 from the front surface of the lamp body 15 in the direction of the front of the lamp unit 17 ; at the ends of the plate holding pieces 33 , the printed plates 18-1 and 18-2 are fastened with screws 34 .
The photodiodes 19 on the front surface of the printed plates 18-1 and 18-2 are arranged on a horizontal line at given intervals. The axes 47 of the photodiodes 19 ( Fig. 5) are substantially perpendicular to the direction of arrangement of the photodiodes 19 substantially parallel to the longitudinal center axis L ( Fig. 4) of the vehicle body. In the preferred embodiment, 24 photodiodes 19 are on each printed plate 18-1 and 18-2 attached. The printed plates 18-1 and 18-2 are electrically connected to each other, and the control plate 100 is electrically and mechanically connected to the printed plate 18-1 .
The front lens 16 has the shape of a laterally elongated box made of transparent resin and is, for. B. colored red or yellow. As shown in Figs. 5 to 9, the inner surface of the front lens 16, that is, their photodiodes 19 opposite wall 40 inclined towards the rear of the vehicle body, and its lower end is provided with a certain curvature to the To pass over bottom wall 41 . As shown in FIG. 10, a control part 43 for the light is formed in the upper section of the inner wall 40 for each photo diode 19 ; 40 side steps 44 are also provided in the lower section of the inner wall.
As shown in Figs. 10 to 12, each light control part 43 acts to direct the light emitted from the associated photodiode 19 to the rear end of the vehicle body so that the hal lamp is easily observed. The control part 43 is composed of nine prisms 45 A to 45 I , which are arranged in a 3 × 3 matrix form. The central axis of the central prism 45 E is essentially aligned with the central axis of the photodiode 19 in question. The middle prism 45 E is, as shown in FIGS . 11 and 12, bent with a predetermined curvature R 1 inwards. The four prisms 45 B , 45 D , 45 F and 45 H , which are above and below and to the right and left of the middle prism 45 E , are designed as follows: The inner edge of each of the four prisms that goes into the middle prism 45 E passes, is set higher than the prism 45 E , so that consequently a step 46 is formed, and the thickness decreases from the inner edge so heightened towards the outer edge. Accordingly, the right and left prism 45 H and 45 B , as shown in Fig. 11, in the horizontal section substantially triangular and symmetrical to each other. On the other hand, the upper and lower prism 45 D and 45 F , as shown in Fig. 12, is substantially triangular in vertical section, and the step of the lower prism 45 F is higher than that of the upper prism 45 D. As shown in FIG. 10, the step 46 of the right and left prism 45 H and 45 B is higher than that of the upper prism 45 D and lower than that of the lower prism 45 F. The surface of the four prisms 45 B , 45 D , 45 F and 45 H are curved inwards with a pregiven curvature R 2 .
The remaining four corner prisms 45 A , 45 C , 45 G and 45 I are designed as follows: The four corner prisms are raised more than the four prisms 45 B , 45 D , 45 F and 45 H explained above, so that they thus have steps 48 be sitting. The surface 49 of each of the four corner prisms is curved inwards with a predetermined curvature such that it is inclined from the inner corner 50 towards the diametrically opposite outer corner. Consequently, the thickness of each of the four corner prisms 45 A , 45 C , 45 G and 45 I is a maximum at the inner corner 50 and a minimum at the outer corner, and these prisms are substantially triangular in both horizontal and vertical sections. The reference thickness h of the front lens 16 is indicated in FIG. 11.
The prisms 45 A to 45 I (with the exception of the prism 45 E) have a different step height and surface curvature, as explained above; accordingly, their optical refractive angle and their optical refractive direction are different. Therefore, the light 53 emitted from the photodiode 19 is refracted toward the optical axis 47 to exit the front lens 16 of the vehicle body rearward.
Although in the above-described embodiment the prisms 45 A to 45 I have inwardly curved surfaces with a predetermined curvature, the invention is, however, not limited to or by these. As shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, all prisms 45 A to 45 I z. B. have flat surfaces.

The circuit shown in Fig. 15 is provided with an electrical power source section 101 , the supply voltage + B of a built-in battery in the vehicle, which comes through lines L 2 and L 3 , depending on a brake signal brought in via a line L 1 Output voltage, i.e. a constant voltage + V B (of 5 V in this embodiment) converts. The electrical circuit has a timer circuit 102 for applying a clock signal with a predetermined period to a shift circuit 104 , an interface circuit 103 to supply the brake signal received via line L 1 to the shift circuit, and a drive circuit 105 to at the level L des to drive a signal 106 emitted by the shift circuit 104 for a visual display. The current source section 101 supplies the timer circuit 102 , the interface circuit 103 , the shift circuit 104 and the drive circuit 105 with the constant voltage + V B. The supply voltage + B passes via the line L 2 directly into the circuit 106 for visual display.
The power source section 101, the timer circuit 102, the interface circuit 103, the shift circuit 104 and the driving circuit 105 are formed on the control plate 100, the timer circuit 102, the interface circuit 103, the shift circuit 104 and the drive circuit 105 constitute a control section. The circuit 106 for the visual display is formed by the arrangement of the photodiodes 19 on the printed plates 18-1 and 18-2 . The lines L 1 , L 2 and L 3 are the wires 28 described above. The brake signal brought up by line L 1 is caused by a brake switch which is turned on when the brake pedal is depressed (not shown). As soon as the brake switch is switched on, the brake signal is brought from the low level L (with the brake switch interrupted) to the high level H.

In FIG. 2, the circuit of FIG. Rendered detail 15th As shown in FIG. 2, the current source section 101 contains diodes D 1 and D 2 , resistors R 1 to R 5 , an aluminum electrolytic capacitor C 1 , a ceramic capacitor C 2 , a constant voltage diode Dz (zener diode), npn transistors Q 1 and Q 2 and a pnp transistor Q 3 . The timer circuit 102 is constructed from a section 102 a generating the clock pulses, inverters INV 1 to INV 3 , a capacitor C 3 and resistors R 6 to R 7 . The groups 19 R - 1 , 19 L - 1 to 19 R - 6 , 19 L - 6 from the photodiodes are each connected to the collectors of the transistors Q 5 and Q 6 to Q 15 and Q 16 of the drive circuit 106 .
The device for the holding lamp thus constructed will now be described.
As soon as the brake pedal is pressed down, that is, the brake switch is turned on when the brake is operated. As a result, the brake signal brought in by the line L 1 is brought to the H level. In the current source section 101 , the voltage of the capacitor C 1 is therefore increased, whereby the transistors Q 1 and also Q 2 and Q 3 are made conductive and the constant voltage + V B arises. On the other hand, the high level H brake signal brought in via line L 1 continues to be fed to the interface circuit 103 in which the transistor Q 4 is made conductive, whereby the output signal of the inverter INV 4 reaches the high level H, which is the reset terminals of the two shift regions ster 104-1 and 194-2 is supplied, whereby the signals at output terminals 104 a to 104 f reach the low level L. Accordingly, in the drive circuit 105, the output signals of the inverters INV 5 to INV 10 are switched to the H level and the transistors Q 5 to Q 16 are made conductive. As a result, the groups 19 R - 1 to 19 R - 6 and 19 L - 1 to 19 L - 6 photodiodes 19 are all turned on, and the driver of the following vehicle is thus given a warning signal.
If the brake pedal is then released, i.e. the brake is removed, the brake switch is switched off. As a result, the brake signal brought in by line L 1 is set to the low level L. The introduction of the brake signal from high level H to the current source section 101 is thus interrupted. In this case, the capacitor C 1 is discharged, however, the transistor Q 1 is kept conductive for a certain period of time and the supply of the constant voltage from the current source section 101 to the timer circuit 102 , to the interface circuit 103 , the shift circuit 104 and the Driving circuit continued. The brought on line L 1 brake signal at low level L, since the transistor Q 4 is made non-conductive, further fed to the interface circuit 103 ; accordingly, the output signal of the inverter INV 4 goes to the low level L, whereby the shift registers 104-1 and 104-2 are set. As a result, the clock signal output from the timer circuit 102 effectively controls the shift registers 104-1 and 104-2 , where the signal at the output terminal 104 a first takes the high level H. Accordingly, the output signal of the inverter INV 5 is set to the low level L, and the transistors Q 5 and Q 6 are therefore rendered non-conductive, whereby the groups 19 R - 1 and 19 L - 1 photodiodes connected to them are switched off. In response to the following clock signal, which is generated in a predetermined period of time, the output from the output terminal 104 b is brought to the high level and the output signal of the inverter INV 6 is set to the low level L, whereby the groups 19 R - 2 and 19 L - 2 , which are within the already switched off groups 19 R - 1 and 19 L - 1 photodiodes, are switched off. In a similar manner, the signals at the output terminals 104 c to 104 f are successively brought to the high level H at predetermined time intervals, so that the remaining groups of photodiodes are switched off in order from the outside in; groups 19 R - 6 and 19 L - 6 are switched off last. This means that the groups 19 R - 1 to 19 R - 6 and 19 L - 1 to 19 L - 6 of the photodiodes lined up on the printed plates 18-1 and 18-2 are successively switched off from the outside towards the center. Thus, when the brake pedal is released, the warning signal is given to the driver of the following vehicle more effectively.
After the groups 19 R - 6 and 19 L - 6 photodiodes are switched off, the discharge of the capacitor C 1 follows in the current source cross section 101 ; as a result, the transistor Q 1 is made non-conductive and the generation of the constant voltage + V B is interrupted. In order to keep the power consumption as low as possible, the supply of the constant voltage + V B to the circuits also stops. As a result, the circuit is ready for the next time the brake is switched on.
In Fig. 16 shows the case when the photodiode groups off in response to the on and turn-off of the brake and switches off, if photodiode 12 on each printed board 18-1 and 18-2 are lined up. In particular, Fig. 16A shows the state of the photodiode groups when the brake is not in operation; this means that all groups 19 R - 1 to 19 R - 3 and 19 L - 1 to 19 L - 3 photodiodes are kept switched off. Fig. 16B shows the state of the group of photodiodes when the brake pedal is switched; that is, all of the groups 19 R - 1 to 19 R - 3 and 19 L - 1 to 19 L - 3 are turned on by photodiodes. As soon as the brake pedal is released under this condition, i.e. the braking process is ended in t 1 seconds (e.g. in 0.1 seconds), the outermost groups 19 R - 1 and 19 L - 1 are switched off by photodiodes, as in Fig. 16C is shown. At time t 2 seconds (e.g. 0.2 seconds) after the end of the braking process, as shown in FIG. 16D, the groups 19 R - 2 and 19 L - 2 of photodiodes are switched off, which are already within the switched off groups 19 R - 1 and 19 L - 1 . As soon as the brake pedal is released, the groups 19 R - 1 and 19 L - 1 , 19 R - 2 and 19 L - 2 as well as 19 R - 3 and 19 L - 3 photodiodes from the outside, as shown in the description above turned off internally in the order specified. As soon as the brake is actuated, the warning signal is thus given to the driver of the following vehicle more effectively.
In the embodiment explained above, the time period T , which depends on the termination of the braking process and is required to switch off all groups 19 R - 1 to 19 R - 6 and 19 L - 1 to 19 L - 6 of photodiodes, becomes a fixed value is set, which is determined by the period of the clock signal output from the timer circuit 102 . In other words, the time period of the time division process is set to a fixed value for the groups of photodiodes which are turned off at predetermined time intervals starting with the two outermost groups. On the other hand, if the timer circuit 102 has a variable resistance 107 is provided to change the period of the clock signal, as indicated by the dashed line in FIG. 15, the time of the time division process for the groups of photodiodes can be adjusted by adjusting the variable resistor 107 set to a desired value; therefore, the aforementioned period of time T , which is necessary to switch off all groups of photodiodes, can be modified. In Fig. 17, the variable resistor 107 is shown, which is housed in the lamp unit 17. In particular, the variable resistor is installed so in the lamp unit 17 107, that its wires 108 are connected to the control plate 100 and (as shown in FIGS. 18 and 19) have knob 107 a through the front lens 16 projects outwardly. It is not absolutely necessary to install the variable resistor 107 in the lamp unit 17 . For example, it can be installed inside the vehicle close to the driver's seat.
In the embodiment explained above, the groups 19 R - 1 to 19 R - 6 and 19 L - 1 to 19 L - 6 are switched off from the outside to the center in a time division process. However, the circuit can be designed so that the group photodiodes are turned off in a time division process from the center, starting with the two innermost groups, to the outside; the groups can of course also be switched off arbitrarily. In the above embodiment, each group contains four photodiodes, but the invention is not intended to be limited thereby. The photodiodes 19 can, for. B. can be turned off individually one after the other.
In the embodiment described above, the holding lamp 13 is installed on the rear flap 11 . However, you can medium with a mounting aid, for. B. a wing on the roof or inside the passenger compartment behind the rear window.
As previously explained, the device for the holding lamp according to the invention numerous light emitting aids in predetermined Intervals in the width direction of the vehicle body depending on the braking process is switched on and then when the brake is released a time division procedure. As soon as the brake pedal released the warning signal will be sent to the driver of the following vehicle given more kung.
