Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an adsorber for cleaning Gases by means of adsorption, with one or more Adsorbent beds in which the free-flowing Adsorbent between two gas permeable Carrier walls is clamped.
From AT-PS 19 595 there is generally a reactor designated adsorber known, the at least two with radial distance from the vertical central axis Arranged arranged adsorber beds through carrier walls be separated and supported. To be in operation the adsorbent with higher pressures or higher Flow velocities of the passed Gas flows up to the so-called rooting zone to be able to load, it is between the support walls clamped. In the adsorption cycle as in the regeneration cycle however, there are heat expansions and contractions both the adsorbent and the carrier walls, which at rigid clamping to undesirable abrasion of the Adsorbent can lead. To prevent this the known document suggests negative appearance, the carrier walls with gas-permeable openings provide that, depending on the orientation of the openings, radial or there is axial extensibility of the support wall. On in this way it should be achieved that the support wall Heat expansion and contraction of the adsorbent in the can absorb work-related temperature cycles. It is also intended to prevent any Relative movement of the support walls to each other unwanted abrasion on the adsorbent leads.
The present invention has for its object To create device that while maintaining the Advantages of the prior art are essential easier solution to the problem of avoiding abrasion of the adsorbent offers.
The solution to this problem according to the invention consists in that to avoid temperature-related adsorption medium wear in the adsorbent bed between one Carrier wall and the adsorbent a gas permeable compressible material is arranged.
In the adsorber according to the invention, conventional gas-permeable support walls use. A special Design of said support walls is no longer necessary since the radial compensation of the forces occurring through the gas-permeable compressible material ensures is. The gas permeable compressible material becomes preferably used in the form of a mat attached to the Shape of the adsorbent bed can be adjusted can.
In an embodiment of the invention is gas permeable compressible material uses a glass fiber fleece. According to the invention, however, others can also gas permeable compressible materials used such as porous foams and the like.
With an adsorber like the known one with a vertical one Annular bed in which the adsorbent clamped between cylindrically shaped support walls is, according to the invention, the gas permeable compressible material between the inner partition and arranged the adsorbent.
The gas-permeable compressible material becomes expediently as an intermediate layer between Adsorbent bed and the inner cylindrical shaped support wall attached. It preferably covers the entire gas-permeable part of the support wall. Is a Part of the support wall made gas-impermeable, so there is no need to attach gas-permeable compressible material because that behind the gas-impermeable part of the adsorbent in the Adsorption and regeneration are not the same Exposed to temperature fluctuations is like the flow through Adsorbent, and thus heat expansion or contraction does not need to be balanced.
The gas-permeable compressible material is preferred with fastening straps on the inner support wall attached.
The attachment can be particularly simple in this way be carried out in mats to the size of the inner support wall cut gas permeable compressible material around the inner partition laid around and like a barrel hoop from the fastening tapes is fixed on it.
However, the invention is not applicable to Adsorber with radially flowable adsorption middle beds, but can also be in an analogous manner Horizontal beds can be applied. Should such Adsorbent beds beyond their rooting zone be resilient, so will the horizontal adsorption medium fill between an upper and a lower one gas permeable support wall clamped. Through this However, the measure is again the adsorbent due to its temperature-related volumetric Changes in the individual work cycles burdened. To Elimination of this disadvantage is therefore according to the invention gas permeable compressible material between the arranged upper partition and the adsorbent.
The arrangement of the gas permeable compressible Material above the adsorbent layer especially preferred if only through the Thickness of the horizontal adsorbent layer Weight of the compressible material so far that would compensate for the movement of heat would no longer be guaranteed. In addition, by arrangement the compressible material as a top layer is not necessary, clamp the adsorbent bed as before, because already the top layer swirling at a lower level Clamping prevented.
The device according to the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.
Fig. 1 shows the longitudinal section of a standing adsorber with a cylindrical adsorbent bed. This is formed by the outer carrier wall c of the adsorbent bed d of the inner carrier wall g and a gas-impermeable bottom a which connects the two carrier walls and closes the adsorbent bed. According to the invention, a mat of gas-permeable compressible material e is arranged between the inner carrier wall g and the adsorbent d and is fixed to the inner carrier wall by means of fastening bands f. Loads occurring in the radial direction during operation of the adsorber can be compensated for by the mat e. In addition, this figure shows how vertical loads can be compensated by thermal movements. For this purpose, two variants I and II are compared with one another in FIG. 1. On the left side I it is shown to provide the inner support wall with compensator shafts h. On the right-hand side II, the inner support wall, like the upper feed connector, is designed such that part of the inner support wall j extends into the connector and can be displaced therein. By both measures according to I or II it is achieved that thermal movements of the outer support wall c and the adsorbent d are compensated for by the inner support wall in such a way that no relative movement of the walls occurs and thus leads to abrasion of the adsorbent. In variant II, the upper part of the inner and outer support wall is kept impermeable to gas in order to avoid leakage gas flows. Care is taken to ensure that the height y of the unused adsorbent layer is greater than its thickness x. The curved base a is preferably used for moist gases. In the adsorption cycle, these are introduced from below into the adsorber and condensation of water occurs at the bottom a, which flows out to the outside and is collected in a collecting trough at the edge of the bottom and can be removed via hood b.
Fig. 2 shows a similar adsorber as Fig. 1, so that the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals. In contrast to the adsorber of FIG. 1, there is a horizontal adsorption medium bed under the rotationally symmetrical vertical adsorbent bed. This is formed by the carrier walls 1 , an adsorbent k and a gas-permeable compressible material m. As shown, this is preferably arranged as a cover layer over the adsorbent k, as a result of which the hitherto rigid clamping of the horizontal adsorbent layer can be considerably reduced.
