Bei Betätigung des zangenartigen Werkzeuges 10 wird das Schenkelende des Eckverbinders unter gleichzeitigem Zusammenpressen der Profilteile im Bereich des Profilstoßes 12 verformt. Hierdurch entsteht eine Aufwölbung 13, die zur Verkeilung des Schenkelendes des Eckverbin­ ders in der Hammerkopfnut führt. Anschließend wird der andere Schenkel 6 des Eckverbinders in der gleichen Weise festgelegt. Zur Verbesserung der Relativbewegung zwischen Verbinder und Profilteilen kann es vorteilhaft sein, den Grund der Aufnahmenut mit rippenartigen Leisten 14 zu versehen. Verfahren zur Verbindung von aus Profilteilen über Eckverbinder zusammengesetzten Rahmen für Fenster, Türen, Fassaden sowie zur Herstellung von Stoß- und Kreuzverbindungen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mit Hilfe eines den Stoßbereich (12) der Profilteile (2, 3) übergreifenden Werkzeuges 10 eine auf die Stirnseite eines Eckverbinderschenkels (6, 7) und auf den Stoßbereich einwirkende Kraft erzeugt wird, wobei sich das Werkzeug wechselseitig an der Außenwand (11) der Hammerkopfnut (5) für die Aufnahme des Eckverbinders abstützt und den Schenkel des Eckverbinders verformt.1.
