Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a probe according to the preamble of claim 1.
A generic probe coaxially arranged electrodes or symmetrically juxtaposed bar-shaped electrodes, FIG. 9 and FIG. 10 of DE-AS 12 18 112. In this case, project beyond the electrodes which are aligned with each other, beyond the insulating probe head. In another generic probe according to DE-PS 24 31 094, the rod-shaped electrodes arranged symmetrically next to one another protrude into a spark chamber recessed in the probe head, which is open to the end face of the probe head.
Lithotripsy relies on the creation of a shock wave in one Body channel (e.g. ureter) by placing liquid between the A sparkover is triggered in the liquid-emitting electrodes. The shock wave then hits the concrement to be dissolved so that it is destroyed.
The known probe heads are made of plastic, which has various shortcomings are connected. First the probe head has to be gripped in a metal sleeve, to prevent the probe tip from being torn apart by the pressure wave becomes. Such a metal sleeve, which has nothing to do with the electrodes, shows the DE-PS 24 31 094. In the case of DE-AS 12 18 112, which dates from earlier times, since even weaker pressure waves were generated, there is no such amplification still. A major disadvantage is that by increasing burning electrodes the spark gap more and more into the plastic is shifted, which is increasingly destroyed as a result. Except for the free setting of components of the plastic during its braising, the disadvantageous The spark gap will also have increasing effects on the patient migrate from the target object and therefore quickly lose effectiveness.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a probe of the generic type create that with longer life a higher effectiveness without damage risk to the patient guaranteed.
This object is achieved in that the ceramic probe head according to the Feature of claim 1 is formed.
Vor allem brennt dieses Material nicht zwischen den Elektroden ab.Impact-resistant ceramic, preferably according to claim 2 or 3, has art The following advantages in particular. Above all, this material does not burn between the electrodes.
The electrodes, which continue to burn, migrate within the ceramic back, the enveloping ceramic remains in its original form. At most, the length of the spark gap increases, which is up to a type conditional limit can be compensated by increasing voltage, but the intact ceramic insulation always forces the spark on the same path. The effect The probe is therefore kept longer for longer.
The defined increase in spark length can be monitored by monitoring the ignition voltage are tracked and enables an automatic display of the still ver remaining service life or the need for an immediate Probe change.
The hard ceramic reflects on the face of the probe head the pressure wave that arises is much better than a (sound soft) plastic insulation. This makes the printing energy more efficient headed to the concretion. It can therefore be destroyed or hard stones but lower amounts of energy are used, which also means the thermal load the treatment zone of the patient can be reduced. In particular the front surface can be designed like a parabolic mirror for targeted pressure concentration be exploited.
Es zeigt:Further advantageous refinements and developments result from the Subclaims and from the following description of preferred embodiment examples of the invention with reference to the drawing. It shows:

Fig. 5 shows a cross section in the plane 5-5 of FIG. 3.
The probe end section 10 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a probe head 11 designed as a ceramic round rod, which has two spaced-apart, symmetrical and longitudinally extending bores 12 and 13 . The straight-cylindrical probe head 11 has an exposed end face 14 , an opposite end face 15 and a peripheral face 16 . It is made from an impact-resistant ceramic, such as the type used in internal combustion engines.
The stripped ends 17 and 18 of two plastic-insulated lead wires 19 and 20 are inserted into the bores 12 , 13 and anchored therein by means of a hardenable synthetic resin compound 21 . Since the ends 17 , 18 are guided with little play in the boreholes 12 , 13 , the synthetic resin composition 21 takes the form of a thin intermediate layer, which in particular creates a liquid-tight connection. Next, the ends 17 , 18 protrude to the right over the end face 14 . When the synthetic resin mass 21 has hardened, the excess copper and any remaining remnants of the synthetic resin mass 21 are then filed or abge briefly, so that a uniformly flat end face is present.
The lead wires 19 and 20 are contained in a customary flexible plastic tube 22 , which encloses the probe head 11 firmly and liquid-tight over a large part of its length even under elastic prestress. If necessary, an adhesive can be placed between them. The other end, not shown in FIG. 1, of the plastic tube 22 opens into the grommet of a multi-pole plug, to the contact pins of which the lead wires 19 , 20 are connected. The entire probe, with plug, plastic tube 22 and probe head 11 is, for example, made in a length of about 50 cm. The plug fits into a socket on a connecting cable that leads to an electrical energy source. The plastic tube 22 is flexible, but stiff enough to be inserted into a body canal from the outside. So that injuries are avoided, the edges 23 and 24 of the plastic hose 22 and the probe head 11 are chamfered or rounded.
The embodiment of a probe end section 30 shown in FIG. 3 likewise comprises a probe head 31 designed as a ceramic round rod, but this has only one coaxial bore 32 running in the longitudinal direction of the rod. In this, the stripped end 33 of a plastic-insulated lead wire 34 is anchored liquid-tight under a circuit of a thin layer of a curable synthetic resin composition 35 and forms an electrode which opens flush with the exposed end face 36 .
The second electrode is formed by a metal sleeve 37 in which the probe head 31 is anchored in a liquid-tight manner by means of a thin layer of a curable synthetic resin composition 38 . The metal sleeve 37 extends in Fig. 3 to the left by several millimeters beyond the probe head 31 to an electrical connec tion point with the stripped end 39 of another plastic-insulated wire 40 can not set up, which does not protrude beyond the circumference of the metal sleeve 37 .
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, a tongue 41 is disengaged from the metal sleeve 37 , which engages the end 39 of the lead wire 40 over a central length section and clamps against the inner wall of the metal sleeve 37 . Since the metal sleeve 37 is preferably formed from copper and the wall thickness of approximately 0.2 to 0.3 mm does not allow a large clamping force, it is advisable to solder the end 39 in the area of the tongue 41 and the corresponding opening 42 of the metal sleeve 37 .
As in the previous example, the lead wires 34 , 40 are held in a plastic tube 43 which, under elastic prestress, encloses the metal sleeve 37 firmly and liquid-tight over a large part of its length. The other end is also connected to a plug as in the previous example.
The edges 44 and 45 of the plastic tube 43 and the metal sleeve 47 are rounded in order to avoid injuries.
In the new state, the electrodes, that is to say end 33 and metal sleeve 37 , are flush with the end face 36 of the probe head 31 . This gives good pressure-reflex starting conditions. For this purpose, as indicated in Fig. 3, the end face 36 is concavely curved inward to achieve a certain concentration of the reflected pressure wave. Such a curvature can also be provided in the game of FIG. 1.
