Description
The invention relates to a cross-countercurrent process operated intercooler according to the preamble of the patent claim 1.
Charge air coolers of this type are known (prospect Behr Lade Air cooler from 1981 (charge air / water cooler). With charge air coolers of this type, particularly for large engines and Engines used for commercial vehicles occur on the Charge air inlet side air temperatures of approx. 250 ° C. The Wall temperatures of the pipes on the air inlet side can therefore be above 110 ° C so that on the coolant side, i.e. H. inside the pipes, boiling condensation of the water occur can. That at the points of boiling condensation in itself collapsing vapor bubbles lead to material damage supply, for example to remove material from the separating plates and aluminum profiles. This can lead to leaks and to the front cause the heat exchanger to fail prematurely.
It is in cross-flow heat exchangers used as charge coolers already known (DE-OS 23 42 787), the heat exchange in Direction of air flow to increase the too strong on heating first in contact with the hot charge air coming row of pipes and the resulting excretion of Avoid hardness and salts. It was planned there the number of fins in the flow direction of the charge air to he to remove the fins in the first rows of pipes or there to arrange thermal insulation on the pipes. All these However, measures are relatively complex and make a change of the finned tube block required.
The invention is therefore based on the object of a charge air cooler of the type mentioned in such a way that the unwanted superheated steam corrosion (cavitation) in the area of the Pipes lying on the air inlet side without changing the Finned tube block is safely avoided. The solution is according to the claim 1 provided that at least one of the at Rows of pipes located directly on the inlet side of the charge air a partial flow of water with the initial temperature into the inlet chamber box entering water is supplied. Intercooler the are mentioned in the cross-countercurrent process operated so that the cooling water already correspond with one the temperature increase in the first block or in the first Rows of pipes are introduced on the air inlet side. This also results in a higher wall temperature in this Area. That can ver through the measures of claim 1 to be avoided because of the introduction of water with the Inlet temperature, which is about 50 ° C, also the wall temperature of the first rows of pipes remains lower, so that too in this way the undesirable hot steam corrosion in the air entrance area can be avoided.
According to subclaims 2 and 3, this Teilstrombe can service in a very simple way by means of a bypass reali sieren.
Es zeigen: The invention is in the drawing based on an embodiment illustrated example and is explained below. It demonstrate:
Fig. 1 die Frontansicht eines Ladeluftkühlers gemäß der Erfindung, bei der die Rohrtemperatur im Luftein trittsbereich durch unmittelbare Zuführung eines Kühlwasserteilstromes mit der Wassereintritts temperatur niedriger gehalten wird, Fig. 1 is a front view of a charge air cooler according to the invention in which the pipe temperature in the air inlet passage region is held by direct feeding of a part of cooling water stream with the water inlet temperature is lower,
Fig. 2 den Schnitt längs der Linie IV-IV in Fig. 1 und Fig. 2 shows the section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 1 and
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the charge air cooler of FIGS. 1 and 2 with schematically drawn arrows that indicate the flow of the cooling water.
In Figs. 1 to 3 an embodiment of a charge air cooler is shown according to the invention with which the un desired vapor formation in the inlet region of the charge air can be avoided ver. In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 it is provided for this purpose that the inlet area ( 15 ) of the air flowing in the direction of the arrow ( 14 ) through the charge air cooler directly a partial flow of the in the one inlet nozzle ( 60 ) of the upper water tank ( 20 ) is supplied with cooling water entering from the starting temperature. Therefore, while the basic structure of the charge air cooler ( 1 ') of FIGS. 1 to 3 with respect to the arrangement of an upper water tank ( 20 ), a lower water tank ( 3 ) and the two side parts ( 13 ) and with regard to the arrangement of the flat tubes ( 4 ) with the intermediate fins ( 5 ) is the same as that of a conventional charge air cooler, with the exception of the arrangement of fins ( 5 ) that remain the same throughout, the upper water tank ( 20 ) is designed differently to ensure the partial flow of cold water to the inlet area ( 15 ).
While in known embodiments the partition ( 8 ) inside the upper water tank ( 2 ) ensures that the entire cold water flow entering through the inlet connector ( 6 ) is first deflected downward to the lower water tank ( 3 ) and only from there up again is fed back to the outlet connection (11), but is box at the upper water (20) of Fig. 1 to 3, the corresponding partition wall (80) is not performed over the entire region, interrupted by two lateral passageways (25) through which the in the cold water entering the inlet port ( 60 ) in the direction of the arrow ( 7 ) with the outlet temperature can enter a space ( 26 ) which lies above the inlet area ( 15 ) of the charge air and in the exemplary embodiment runs across the width of the first two rows of flat tubes . The cold cooling water therefore first enters the inlet space ( 27 ), which extends across the entire width of the cooler, flows from there on the one hand - in a manner known per se - down into the rear part of the flat tubes ( 4 ), then becomes in the direction of the arrows ( 9 ) deflected in the lower water tank ( 3 ) and then flows again from bottom to top through the flat tubes, which are closed at the top by the wall ( 28 ) running all around. The space framed by the wall ( 28 ) is in turn behind the partition ( 80 ) and next to the flow channels ( 25 ) in connection with the space ( 29 ) from which the outlet connection ( 110 ) leads to the outside. Parallel to this water cycle, however, a partial flow of the cold cooling water will laterally pass through the channels ( 25 ), as previously indicated, into the room ( 26 ), from there through the first two flat tubes ( 4 ) and then together with the rest of the cooling water through the ge formed in the wall ( 28 ) behind the partition wall and from there to the outlet port ( 110 ). This partial flow is marked with the arrows ( 30 ).
This partial flow causes the walls of the first two flat tubes ( 4 ), which are located in the inlet area of the hot charge air, to be kept colder than is the case if only cooling water that already flows through the rear one would flow in this inlet area ( 15 ) Group of pipes directed and deflected in the direction of arrow ( 9 ). This cooling water has already heated up considerably when flowing through the charge air cooler, so that the disadvantages mentioned at the outset can then occur in the inlet area of the hot charge air. By diverting a partial flow in the direction of the arrows ( 30 ) into the inlet area ( 15 ), the flat tubes ( 4 ) remain somewhat cooler in the inlet area and the cooling water flowing through them, which is still cold, is not heated above the critical value which leads to the undesired hot steam corrosion can.
In Figs. 1 to 3 of the course of the partial flow is schematically indicated to the space (26). It is clear that this part of the current flows in the direction of the arrows ( 30 ) laterally through the two channels ( 25 ), while below - in the space defined by the wall ( 28 ) and the partition ( 80 ), which in the space ( 29 ) passes - the backflow to the outlet connection ( 110 ) takes place.
