Abstract

The cylindrical spray can is provided with a valve actuated by a press-button to spray the liq. as required. The press-button (12) is provided with a child-proof double protective cap. The cap consists of an inner jacket, which fits over the press-button and has a semicircular bead (5) with a groove in its inner surface, which fits elastically over a ridge (6) of the valve housing. The inner jacket must be aligned at a particular angle w.r.t. the can before it can be pushed sideways to remove it. The inner jacket is enclosed in an outer one with a projection (8), which fits elastically over a ridge (9) on the base of the inner jacket. A screwdriver (17) is required to remove the outer jacket.
