Abstract
The gear pump comprises a drive pinion (3) and an internally-toothed hollow gear (1). The trailing faces of the pinion teeth work with the mating ones on the hollow gear to form a number of cells, sealed off from each other. Several cells are connected by non-return valves to the common pressure passage. The driving flanks of the pinion teeth and/or the mating ones on the hollow gear have recesses, grooves etc., enclosed in the axial direction and connecting the tooth crowns and roots.
