Description
The invention relates to a wooden box with a loose bottom part, a loose lid part and with four made of plywood or a similar plate-shaped material Sidewalls that adjoin one another at their sides the edges each over a parallel to the edges extending, covering, flexible band into one prefabricated side wall unit are connected so that the four side walls can be folded flat on top of each other in pairs, the band made of flexible plastic and / or fabric or a similar non-metallic material and the Longitudinal edges of each band with the outer sides of two adj beard side walls are connected so that between each the mutually facing cut surfaces of two neighboring, side walls lying flat next to each other There is a distance of at least twice the wall corresponds to the thickness of the side walls, and that in erected Condition of the side walls in the case of two neighboring ones Sidewalls form a right angle with each other, a gap between two edges of the adjacent side walls is available. The invention also relates to a ver drive to manufacture such a wooden box.
In a known wooden box of the above type (US-PS 32 23 270) the tapes are made of fabric, plastic or a other flexible material. They are on the side walls glued on. So that the side walls are folded flat on each other the bands must be able to be made correspondingly wide stalten and be attached to the side walls that between the facing cut surfaces of two neighboring, lying flat next to each other in one plane Sidewalls there is a distance of at least that corresponds to twice the wall thickness of the side walls. As a result this absolutely necessary distance is also in the put state of the side walls between two edges of two There is a gap between adjacent side walls. Consequently the side walls do not support themselves at their edges on each other. They are just loose about the flexible ones Bands connected together. As a result, the box is unstable and in particular not rigid. With ver tical pressure on the box, which can result from that several boxes filled with heavy objects over stacked on top of each other, there is also a risk that consisting of relatively thin plywood Side walls can be removed or installed, which means that not only the Crate but also its contents can break. This created by stacking several boxes Vertical pressure is called compression pressure in technical jargon designated. Furthermore, boxes of the generic type Art so far always made so that the height of the prefabricated sidewall units also the height of one of them the box to be delivered corresponds. If one packer has multiple Boxes of the same length and width but different Height, then he also needs accordingly many side wall units with different side walls heights. The side wall units must be from the box manufacturer with appropriate different sidewall heights and by the packer in appropriate quantities Be held in stock. So that the side wall units don't ordered in too many different side wall heights and must be kept in stock exist between larger jumps in the individual side wall heights. this leads to to ensure that the packaged goods are not full in height constantly filled and thus valuable transport and storage space is lost.
In another known wooden box, which differs from the This is the only way to differentiate the wooden box described at the beginning det that instead of fabric or plastic the flexible straps are provided steel straps these steel strips using special rivets on the side walls riveted. This requires two expensive machines, namely one that be the steel strip before riveting a gives a correct profile and another with which Rivets through the unperforated tape into the side walls pressed or shot and their through the plywood urgent ends can be bent. This special measure Machines are so expensive that they can only be used for mass production production. To store and transport space to save, each side wall unit is folded together or -folded that two side walls match each other flat otherwise. The folded sidewall unit as well the loose bottom part and the loose cover part can on the be stored and transported in a space-saving manner. The sidewall unit is disassembled for packaging purposes derfolded or unfolded so that in erected tem condition two adjacent side walls one enclose right angles with each other. This unfolded Side wall unit is placed on top of the loose bottom part set, which has a plate protruding upwards, which around in the lower part of by the four side walls closed space intervenes. On this plate, the Nailed sidewalls. The cover part detects one below protruding edge, which in the upper area of the Intervenes and on which the side walls for ver close the box can also be nailed. The Connection of the side walls by means of steel bands and rivets has other disadvantages besides the expensive manufacture. So that as few of the expensive rivets as possible are required, these are placed at greater intervals. This ent there is a punctiform load on the soft plywood, so that the rivets fully or partially when loaded be torn out. The steel band is proportional stiff and bends when folded. As a result of The side walls do not remain elastic lie flat on top of each other. When unfolding the The steel strips in the opposite direction become the side wall unit tung bent. By repeatedly bending the rivets loosened and the edges of the ribbons no longer lie flat on the side walls. There is a particular risk of injury at the upper and lower protruding corners of the steel tapes.
A disassembled box is also known (FR-PS 20 29 203), with the side walls on their adjacent edges Miter cut and a profile on each corner are connected to each other. The profile strips point a double dovetail cross-section. In the mitred cut surface of each side wall a dovetail-shaped groove is milled. In the Grooves of two side walls assembled at a 90 ° angle the profile bar is inserted from above and forms thus a positive connection. With such double dovetail-shaped profile strips are concerned a joining method that has been common in carpentry for decades binding that is always used when with cuboid shaped objects, e.g. Drawers or expensive Wooden boxes, end grain should be invisible and therefore the Mitred side walls. The processing miter side walls, but especially that Milling the dovetail-shaped grooves required a considerable amount of work. For boxes, their sides walls made of plywood, is this well-known joining binding not applicable, because the one used for boxes Plywood still has a thickness of about 5-10 mm and is also of inferior quality. Theoretically it would be possible to mill dovetail grooves, however, the side of the dovetail grooves would only be so little wood remains, that this wood at the low load breaks out. The lock used for boxes wood is also of such poor quality that the individual layers of plywood separate would. In addition, the profile strips would have such a small one Cross-section that they already at the slightest load would break apart. Because of the thin walls the plywood boxes and cutting for cheap boxes mitred and milled dovetail grooves is out of the question, this type of Joint connection unsuitable for plywood boxes.
The invention has for its object a wooden box of the type mentioned in such a way that they are essential What is more stable is what the torsional rigidity and the vertical resilience (compressive pressure). The he The invention is also based on the object, an advantageous tes process for producing such a box ben.
The wooden box according to the invention is characterized in that that an insertable into this gap and it essentially Chen filling profile bar is provided, the two arranged perpendicular to each other, on the inside of the adjacent side walls and two supporting surfaces arranged perpendicular to each other on the cut surfaces of the side walls has abutting abutment surfaces where with one supporting surface and one abutment surface each form a right-angled fold in which the Engages the edge of the adjacent side wall.
With the new wooden box, the Side walls, with two adjacent side walls form a right angle between them Edges of these adjacent side walls each have a profile strip inserted. This profile bar fills the gap between the two edges of the adjacent side walls completely out. In addition, the side walls lie with their cut surfaces and also with their insides on the abutment surfaces or support surfaces of the profile strip. About that in addition, the band encloses the profile strip on the outside page. As a result, a total of mutual support reached two adjacent side walls, whereby the Stability of the box is increased significantly. The box will especially torsion-resistant and also your ver tical resilience increased because the profile strips prevent the side walls from being removed or inserted Vertical pressure (upsetting pressure), i.e. with pressure in the plane of the side walls.
The process for making a box is that side wall units are prefabricated, each of which because the height of the side walls is a multiple of the sides wall height of a box to be formed therefrom, and that if necessary from a prefabricated side wall unit, the side walls of which are folded up by one across the tapes at one of the sidewall heights of the corresponding box from the bottom edges of the sidewall saw cut sections of the side wall unit are separated.
With this new process, wooden crates of the invent be produced in an advantageous manner. The side wall units come with a side wall height prefabricated, which is a multiple of the side wall height is to be made from it. You can put in the side wall prefabricate units with a side wall height, that of the width of the delivered plywood panels from at for example corresponds to 122 cm. This creates the Crate manufacturers have little waste and there is also little Saw cuts required. The pre-made pages Wall units are delivered to the packer, who then sections of the side wall units if required saws off the height of the required box correspond. Since the tapes are made of plastic or fabric stand, can the side wall sections by means of a cut normal wooden circular saw. Are for attachment then used the tapes on the side walls to wire clips These wire clips do not damage the saw blade, because this has carbide cutting anyway. From the before Manufactured sidewall units can be the packer Make boxes of any height, up to the maximum of the delivered side wall units. The packer can thus the heights of the boxes optimally match the heights of the various adjust those packaging goods so that transport and Storage space can be saved. In addition, the camps are also maintenance costs lower, because the packer has for ver Different box heights with otherwise the same width and length keep only one type of sidewall unit in stock.

The wooden box consists of a loose bottom part 1 , a loose cover part 2 , the section 3 'of a Seitenwandein unit 3 and appropriately four profile strips 9th The bottom part 1 can consist of solid wood and / or plywood in a conventional manner. The lid part 2 is suitably made of plywood with a downwardly projecting frame 2 a made of solid wood.
The side wall unit 3 consists of four side walls 5 , 6 , which are connected to each other at their adjacent edges by flexible bands.
The tapes 7 are made of flexible plastic, which, if necessary, can also be fabric or fiber reinforced. The tapes 7 can also consist of fabric. The material of the strips 7 must be selected so that it can be cut by means of a wooden saw without damaging the saw blade. Each band 7 is attached to the side walls 5 , 6 with its longitudinal edges by means of wire clips. In general, it is sufficient if the wire clips only penetrate into the plywood and do not pass through it. If necessary, the wire clips can also be used with a longer length, so that, as shown in Fig. 2, left, at the inside 5 a of the respective side wall 5 are bent. The side wall units 3 are prefabricated so that the height H of their side walls is a multiple of the side wall height h of a box to be formed therefrom. For example, the height H of the prefabricated side wall unit 3 is 122 cm, which corresponds to the delivery width of conventional plywood panels that are supplied in the format 122 × 244 mm. The prefabricated side wall units with the height H are folded together and delivered to the packer in the folded state, in which the side walls 5 , 6 lie flat on top of each other in pairs, as shown in FIG. 6. The packer can 'saw off 4 sections 3 by means of a circular saw then made from these front side wall portions 3 in FIG. 6. The saw cut S is made transversely to the bands 7 at a distance A from the bottom edges of the side walls, this distance A corresponding to the side wall height h of the box to be formed. The packer can therefore make crates himself, the height of which is precisely adapted to the respective packaged goods. From a prefabricated side wall unit with a height H , it can, for example, manufacture three sections 3 'with a side wall height h of 40 cm or four sections 3 ' with a side wall height h of 30 cm. Any side wall height h up to the full height H can be easily produced in this way.
After separating the section 3 ', this, as shown in Fig. 1, can be opened and brought into the installed state, with two adjacent side walls enclosing a right angle with each other. The section 3 'is set up with the side walls 5 , 6 on the bottom part 1 , the side walls 5 , 6 including the bottom plate 1 a . The side walls 5 , 6 can be nailed to this base plate 1 a .
In the prefabrication of the side wall sections, the tapes 7 are connected to the adjacent side walls 5 , 6 so that between each of the mutually facing cut surfaces 5 b , 6 b two adjacent, in a plane flat side-by-side walls from a was available a which corresponds to at least twice the band thickness d of the side walls 5 , 6 ( FIG. 3). Such a distance a is also necessary so that the side walls 5 , 6 can be easily folded flat on one another, as is shown in FIG. 6. Is then erected position according to Fig. 2 c between the edges 5, 6 c of two adjacent side walls 5, 6, a gap s exists. It is now appropriate to provide a profile strip 9 which can be inserted into the gap s and fills this gap.
The profile bar 9 has two mutually perpendicular support surfaces 10 , 11 and two also perpendicular to each other abutment surfaces 12 , 13 . In each case a support surface 10 forms a rectangular fold with the adjacent abutment surface 12 . The end of the adjacent side wall 5 , 6 engages in this fold, as shown in FIG. 2. Here, the support surfaces 10 , 11 each rest on the inner sides 5 a , 6 a of the side walls 5 , 6 , while the cut surfaces 5 b , 6 b are supported on the abutment surfaces 12 , 13 . The profile strip is inserted into the gap s from above and forms an effective corner stiffener. It transmits forces acting both in the side wall plane and transversely thereto to the side wall adjacent at right angles. In addition, the profile strip can absorb vertical forces and prevents bulging or bulging or buckling or buckling of the side walls with vertical pressure. It thus serves to increase the permissible stack compression pressure.
In order to achieve the best possible power transmission from the side walls 5 , 6 to the profile strip 9 and vice versa, the width b of the abutment surfaces 12 , 13 is the same size or slightly smaller than the wall thickness d of the side wall 5 , 6 . The width b 1 of the support surfaces 10 , 11 is greater than the wall thickness d of the side walls 5 , 6 , preferably about twice as large.
As can be seen from Fig. 4, the profile strip has a double dovetail profile. In the water design of the profile, the profile strip is suitably made of wood. However, it could also be made of plastic as Hohlpro fil.
In Fig. 5 an embodiment of the profile bar 9 'is shown, which is suitably made of plastic. Here, the profile bar essentially has an X profile. The support surfaces 10 , 11 and the abutment surfaces 12 , 13 correspond in function to those of the profile bar 9 , which is why the description above for the Pro filleiste 9 'applies analogously.
