Kreuzmeißel. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 8. September 1922 ab. Cross chisel. Patented in the German Empire on September 8, 1922.
Die Erfindung betrifft Verbesserungen an Kreuzmeißeln. The invention relates to improvements in cross chisels.
Die Schneidkanten verlaufen radial,According to the invention, the cutting jaws are interchangeable and center themselves and are secured against longitudinal and lateral displacement. The dies are in perpendicular to each other arranged slots of a shaft piece introduced, wherein the upper part of the slot is enlarged to correspondingly enlarged parts of the cutting jaws to record. The surfaces of the cutting jaws that meet in the middle are bevelled at 45 ° on both sides. The jaws are surrounded by a sleeve that is screwed onto the shaft. The cutting edges run radially,

The leg 1 of the cross chisel has slots 2 at its lower end which run at right angles to one another. The upper part of each slot is enlarged at 2 1 and the walls of each slot are chamfered at the lower end at 2 2; Screw threads 3 are provided over the slotted part of the leg, and a slot 4 also extends through this part and has an inclined bottom surface. The narrow end of the slot is close to the slot 2. Each of the four cutting jaws 5 has a leg 6 with which it sits in the slot 2. The upper part of the leg is enlarged at 6 1 to fit in the enlarged part 2 1 of the slot. This prevents the cutting jaws from falling out of the slot, and they have to be moved into the slot by moving them sideways! in and out of the same. j The cutting jaws are beveled at the meeting edges, as shown at 7, at 45 °, so that the same when approaching; come together to center themselves and prevent a lateral shift. The cutting edges 8 of the cutting jaws extend radially from the center point and form an angle of 90 ° with one another. The cutting! however, the edges run somewhat obliquely with respect to the center line of the cutting jaws. DA <■ by two oblique surfaces are created, 'which are different in size, and whereby upon; Falling through the drill through the mud is given a rotary motion. The cutting jaws are held in position by a collar or a sleeve 9 which is screwed with its upper part onto the threaded part 3 of the leg. The collar overlaps the side edges of the legs which lie in the slots 2 so that the cutting jaws cannot fall out of the slots. The sleeve is held against rotational movement by a wedge 10 which engages in the slot 4 of the leg and a vertical slot in the threaded part of the collar. The sleeve is also provided with two bores to receive a key so that the sleeve can be easily screwed onto the leg. The outer sides of the leg are beveled slightly so that they fit into the bevel in the inside of the sleeve. Any key can be used, but the key shown in Fig. 8 is preferred, which consists of a semicircular part 13 on which two projections 14 are provided, one of which can be displaced by a thumb screw to be inserted into the holes in the sleeve to become. Handles are attached to part 13.
