Knebel an Ketten ersetzen soll. Das Kuppelglied wird durch einen übergeschobenen Ring
geschlossen.
(Abb. ι und 2), in welche der Stift c springt,The subject of the main patent is a hinged coupling link that is intended to replace the well-known toggle on chains. The coupling element is closed by a ring pushed over it. The ring is held on the coupling element in that it is pushed with a longitudinal groove over a nose on one jaw and then rotated.
With this type of fastening of the ring, the coupling element must expediently hang down with its mouth opening so that the ring cannot be shaken by the coupling element by continuous movement of the chain. In order to be able to use the coupling element in the opposite suspension, the locking device for the ring is to be improved according to the present invention. The drawing shows the improved coupling element in Fig. 1 in side view, half in section. Fig. 2 shows the front view folded by 90 °. Fig. 3 shows the open coupling element in the position according to Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 shows a front view of the lock jaw. A locking pin c is slidably mounted in the jaw α and is pushed out by a spring e which is sunk on the inner side of the jaw. The ring has a circumferential groove d on the inside (Fig. Ι and 2), into which the pin c jumps,
