Abstract

The invention relates to a double marine propeller arrangement, rotatable through 360@. The power-transmission system for the propeller arrangement comprises two propulsion shafts which are attached in the bottom part and the centre part of the propeller arrangement. The propulsion shaft (1) for the propeller arrangement is driven by a shaft coming from the engine, and the transmission of the rotating movement is effected via an angular propulsion device, attached underneath, to a vertical shaft (1) and via two angular propulsion devices, attached in the centre, to the two horizontal propeller shafts, of which one rotates clockwise and the other rotates anti-clockwise. The propeller arrangement is rotated through 360@ by a top angular propulsion device in which the gear (12) is fastened to the vertical cylindrical part (13) of the propeller housing and is driven via a shaft (15) of the control machine. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a double ship propeller device, rotating bar through 360 °. The power transmission system comprises a drive shaft ( 1 ) and the shaft ( 2 ) of a motor which is attached to the device in the lower part of the propeller. The drive shaft ( 1 ) of the propeller device is driven by the shaft of the motor ( 2 ) and the rotating movement goes via an angular drive device attached below to a vertical shaft ( 1 ) and further via two angular drive devices to the horizontal propeller shafts, which are are located in the middle part of the propeller device. The invention enables the rotation of the double propeller device through 360 °, namely by means of an angular drive device mounted above, in which the gear ( 12 ) on the vertical cylindrical part ( 13 ) of the propeller housing ( 14 ) is attached and via a shaft ( 15 ) Control machine is driven. Similar constructions have already been proposed at an earlier point in time, but these have proven to be technically susceptible since they only had a bearing point for the power transmission to the screw. It is not uncommon for such devices to be equipped with only one propeller and therefore have an inadequate drive effect as well as insufficient directional stability at low revs. If there is only one bearing point, there is an upper limit for the power transmission (number of horsepower) to the screw. With a double propeller device, a less susceptible construction is made possible within the scope of the invention presented here, with an optimal drive effect and with improved directional stability. There is no upper limit for the number of horsepower acting on the screw. The invention achieves this in that the rotating movement from the motor via the shaft ( 2 ) via a below-attached angular Antriebsvor direction to a vertical shaft ( 1 ) and from there on two centrally attached angular drive devices is transmitted to the two propeller shafts , one of which turns to the right and the other to the left. By rotating both propellers individually, an optimal drive effect and better directional stability are achieved. The pressure acting on the two propellers is transferred to the two propeller thrust bearings ( 3, 4 ) and from there to the propeller pressure bracket ( 5 ), which is mounted on the vertical shaft ( 1 ) by means of four pressure tilting bearings. This vertical shaft ( 1 ) is supported at the top and bottom of the hull. The double propeller device relevant to the invention is shown in the drawing. The drawing shows the drive shaft ( 1 ) for the propeller device and the shaft ( 2 ) from the engine, the lower angular drive device on the vertical shaft ( 1 ) and two angular drive devices for the propeller shafts attached in the middle. In addition, the propeller pressure bearings ( 3, 4 ), which are mounted in the propeller pressure bracket ( 5 ). The bearings 7 and 8 are pressure tilting bearings, bearing ( 6 ) denotes a support pressure tilting bearing for the pressure bracket and the housing of the propeller unit. The thrust bearings 9, 10 and 11 transmit the pressure from the propeller unit to the hull. The housing of the propeller unit ( 14 ) can be rotated through 360 ° in the bearings 6, 7 and 8 , specifically by means of a gearwheel ( 12 ) in the upper angular drive device which is fastened to the upper cylindrical part ( 13 ) of the propeller housing ( 14 ) and is driven by a shaft ( 15 ) of the control machine. Reinforcements on the hull mark the numbers 16 and 17 . Number 18 shows the dipstick for the oil level.
