The invention relates to a device for measuring moisture in a gas of high temperature and high pressure, which with elec tric conductive dust is contaminated, according to the Oberbe handle of claim 1.
In industry and research, measuring devices are needed that suitable when a specified moisture limit value is exceeded Initiate countermeasures, i.e. as a limit switch work, or as continuously operating measuring devices can be used.
For the low humidity range (<20 ° C dew point) low gas temperatures below 200 ° C and simultaneous gas through <20 bar some hygrometers of different types for ver addition.
From DE-OS 31 50 558 a sensor for determining the Moisture content known based on a change tion of the specific electrical resistance of a damp sensitive material works. As material for the Ceramic is used for the sensor. The one made of different oxides and / or carbonates mixed raw material becomes molded articles (e.g. disks or profile bars) sintered, and the molded body are then provided with two electrodes with which the contra change in position is detected. A pair of lead wires are connected to the respective electrodes. The moldings preferably have a porosity between 20 to 50%.
Are moisture measuring devices for the high humidity range (dew point <20 ° C) under severe operating conditions such. B. Gas tempera tures up to 500 ° C with simultaneous gas pressures up to 200 bar and Presence of large amounts of electrically conductive impurities suitable devices (e.g. graphite dust) unavailable.
The object of the present invention is therefore a device to measure moisture in a gas using to form a moisture-sensitive ceramic in such a way that it can be used in extreme conditions and their measurement results also by electrically conductive dusts or Foreign gases are not affected.

Advantageous developments of the invention are the others Subclaims and the following description of an embodiment Example in connection with the schematic drawing refer to.
Die Fig. zeigt die Vorrichtung im Vertikalschnitt. The figure shows the device in vertical section.
A measuring chamber 1 can be seen, which is sealed at the top by a flange 2 . The flange is fastened by means of a screw connection 4 to a second flange 3 which is attached to the measuring chamber 1 . A metallic seal (not shown) is arranged between the flanges 2 and 3 . A feed line 5 and a discharge line 6 for the measuring gas have been attached to the measuring chamber 1 since.
A stainless steel tube 7 , which is closed at the top and bottom, plunges into the measuring chamber 1 with most of its length, whereby it is guided through the flange 2 . This sits firmly on the stainless steel tube 7 .
In order to be able to adjust the stainless steel tube 7 to the desired condensation temperature, it is provided with a cooling device; this consists of a coaxially arranged in the stainless steel tube 7 line 8 for the introduction of a liquid cooling medium which emerges from the line 8 in the vicinity of the tube sheet, flows through the stainless steel tube 7 and leaves it through a discharge line 9 provided outside the measuring chamber 1 . The condensation temperature can be checked with the aid of a plurality of thermocouples 10 arranged in the interior of the stainless steel tube 7 .
On its section protruding into the measuring chamber 1 , the stainless steel tube 7 has a ceramic layer 11 , a porous, temperature-resistant ceramic with high temperature resistance being chosen for the coating. The layer 11 preferably consists of an oxide ceramic.
At the end of the stainless steel tube 7 , a water vapor permeable mesh electrode 12 is attached to the ceramic layer 11 ; in this area, the ceramic layer 11 has a smaller thickness than on the rest of the tube, since here it serves as an adsorber for water vapor or already condensed water. At the Netzelek electrode 12 , a power line 13 is connected, which leads through a passage 14 provided in the flange 1 to the outside. The power line 13 is provided with a temperature-resistant electrical insulation. Outside of the measuring chamber 1 is Stigt 15 BEFE on the stainless steel tube 7 is a further electrode. Both electrodes 12 , 15 are connected to an electronic switching unit (not shown).
The change in resistance occurring when a sample gas containing water vapor is introduced into the measuring chamber 1 is tapped at the two electrodes 12 , 15 and leads to the electronic switching unit. This converts the measured value into an electrical signal, which in turn can either be given to a limit switch (for example, to operate shut-off valves or signal systems) or to an electronic control device (if a continuously working measuring device is required).
To avoid short circuits due to the electrically conductive dust components present in the measuring gas, the inside of the flange 2 and the measuring chamber 1 including the metallic seal with a ceramic coating 16 are provided . Since the ceramic coating 16 only serves as pure electrical insulation, it can be denser and thicker on the surfaces mentioned than the ceramic layer 11 in the area of the network electrode 12 . The ceramic layer 11 acts at the same time as a secondary filter for fine, electrically conductive dusts (<0.01 microns), so that short circuits between the electrode 15 and the network electrode 12 are avoided. This arrangement as a bypass filter guarantees a short response time in the presence of dust, while z. B. Main flow filter with high gas throughputs and high dust content delay the response time due to the adsorption of water vapor on filtered dust or even clog by the dust.
If the measuring gas is too low in temperature, there is a risk that the water vapor will precipitate on the inner wall of the measuring chamber 1 and on the flange 2 . To avoid this, a heater (not shown) can be attached to the outside of the measuring chamber 1 and around the feed line 5 for the measuring gas.
A particular advantage of the device is that that they are variable in terms of their geometric dimensions is and must therefore be adapted to the respective task can.
