Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for the Welding with a laser beam Laser, as well as an optical arranged in the beam path System over which the laser beam has at least two spatially separated welds acted upon, the Movement of the optical system and the Welding feeds coupled together in this way are that the laser beam from a weld in a weld end on a weld in one The beginning of the weld seam can be deflected and during processing the beginning or end of the weld, the movement of the Optical system is controlled so that a continuously, decreasing in beam power Laser beam at the weld seam in the Weld spout or a continuous in the Beam power increasing laser beam at the The weld seam enters the weld seam inlet.
Lasers, especially fast-flowing axial current Gas transport lasers at Material processing due to the high specific Power density producing very narrow parallel Welds with high welding speeds.
In the manufacture of welds using a Laser beam is often required Start welding process with low beam power and then the beam power as the Beam gradually along the weld final value (nominal value), which is then at the further manufacture of the weld seam essentially is maintained. The "entry area" in which the Beam power gradually increased and thus a gradually deepening melting zone was created, must then be "overwelded" again later in order to to create a sweat zone in it that is everywhere has final depth. After welding over the The entry area will then generally be the Beam power gradually reduced, so that a "Outflow area" results in the second time the melted zone of the weld seam becomes flatter, until it finally disappears. Laser beam- Welding processes of this type are found primarily at Production of welds in the form of closed Curves application; a typical example is that Welding of two with their faces blunt abutting pipe pieces, as in the US-PS 40 88 865 are disclosed. By gradually increasing the beam power is u. a. prevents that on Start of weld seam and end of weld seam crater and Form funnels.
As from the generic state of the art according to the DE-PS 33 46 144 shows one of a laser emitted laser beam by means of a cross to it Directional, flat deflecting mirror with edge-free and sharp-edged edge in its Beam power can be changed. By the shift of the deflecting mirror transverse to the laser beam can be dependent its location, inside or outside the ray path, two spatially separated welds sequentially be charged. The change from a weld secondly, by translationally moving the Deflecting mirror across the laser beam. Once the preferably straight edge of the deflecting mirror in Cross section of the laser beam is the Laser beam divided into two partial beams. For the You have to weld this monofrequency laser radiation optically focus on very small diameters to a to achieve high power density (laser technology, Brunner, boy, Dr. Alfred Hüthig Verlag Heidelberg, 1984, page 328 and Figures 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6). In addition to the disclosed in DE-PS 33 46 144 displaceable and fixed deflection mirrors are preferred for this downstream optical systems required that at least one focusing lens each consist. According to the current state of the art, a laser beam used for welding by means of Concentric mirror focused because the power density of the Laser beam for focusing lenses is too high and on these lenses during the welding process Condense sweat particles.
When processing two welding points arranged one behind the other, two optical systems are required in the generic state of the art and n - processing systems when processing n welding points. In addition to this large number of optical systems, the deflecting mirror, which can be moved transversely to the laser beam in order to change the beam power, is controlled according to the welding task by means of a complicatedly produced cam.
The invention is based, when Machining two or more welds with one in the beam power at the weld end or at The beginning of the weld seam can be changed by the laser beam Focusing the laser beam with a reduced To enable number of optical systems and the Control in the weld seam inlet and outlet simplify.
This object is achieved in that the laser beam successively in time Weld seam outlet or inlet with one to the Welds around an almost concentric axis of rotation movable optical system one in the beam path arranged, absorbing the laser radiation The laser beam traverses, with the end edges of the laser beam catcher in connection with the rotation of the optical system the increasing or decreasing Generate beam power of the laser beams.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essential in that the variety of optical Systems are reduced and the control of the beam power at the welding point in the weld seam outlet or Weld run-in is simplified. By one center rotatable with the welding points, only optical systems can be advantageous any number of welds with the laser beam be charged. At the same time can be in the The beam path arranged laser beam catchers Beam power at the welding point in the Weld outlet or weld inlet in connection with the rotation of the optical system in a simple way Taxes. The optical system is advantageous Device for controlling the angular velocity assigned. The load on the laser beam trap will advantageous by arranging its the Laser absorbing surface before or after the optical focus of the laser is reduced. The Interceptor is arranged so that the beam power of the laser beam absorbing surface in the defocused area of the laser beam, so that mechanical action of the laser beam, especially on the end edges of the laser beam collector is prevented. Under end edges are within the Invention all edges of the laser beam catcher understood that a change in beam power enable; for example, edges that are at an opening or breakthrough in the Laser beam receiver result. By assigning a Cooling device, in particular water cooling advantageous a long service life of the Laser beam interceptor, especially the thermal one highly stressed end edges reached.

In Figs. 1 and 2, the inventive apparatus for welding workpieces 8, 9 emitting a laser beam 10 laser 11 is indicated generally by the Bezugsszeichen 12th The workpieces 8 , 9 are arranged on two turntables 13 , 14 and are moved about the axes of rotation 15 , 16 of the turntables 13 , 14 in accordance with the directions of the arrows A , B via the welding point feeds (not shown). The laser beam 10 , which preferably emerges vertically from the optical resonator 19, runs parallel to the axes of rotation 15 , 16 of the rotary tables 13 , 14 and is deflected for welding peripheral seams via an optical system 20 onto the welding points 17 and 18 and simultaneously focused. In the device for welding peripheral seams shown in FIGS . 1 and 2, the optical system 20 consists of a concave mirror 21 , via which the laser beam 10 is deflected and focused by 90 °. The optical system 20 can be rotated in the arrow direction C about an axis of rotation 22 which is almost concentric with the welding points 17 , 18 .
The welding points 17 , 18 are arranged at the same distance 24 , 25 from the axis of rotation 22 of the optical system 20 , to which a device 26 ( not shown in detail) for controlling the angular velocity is assigned. The device 26 can consist, for example, of a gear unit 28 connected to the housing 27 of the optical system 20 , which is driven by a speed-controlled motor 29 .
The turntables 13 , 14 are arranged on a base plate 23 . Arranged between the rotary tables 13 , 14 is a laser beam receiver 30 absorbing the laser beams 11 , the surface 31 of which is arranged after or before the optical focal point of the laser 11 in the defocused area of the laser beam 10 . The optical focus lies in the plane of the concave mirror 21 designed as a parabolic mirror. The end edges 32 , 33 of the laser beam collector 30 are formed with sharp edges on the surface 31 facing the laser beam and are connected to a cooling device 34 , preferably a water cooling device. Because only the end edges 32 , 33 are cooled, a rapid dissipation of the thermal energy is possible. Of course, it is also possible to cool the entire laser beam collector 30 by means of continuous cooling.
Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung arbeitet wie folgt:The device according to the invention works as follows:
The workpieces 8 , 9 are rotated by the welding feeds of the rotary tables 13 , 14 about the axes of rotation 15 , 16 in the direction of arrow A , B. The laser beam 10 is directed onto the surface 31 of the laser beam collector 30 and is moved about the axis of rotation 22 by means of the device 26 until, for example, it is at the end edge 32 and slowly passes through it. As soon as the laser beam 11 travels through the end edge 32 , part of the beam power is focused on the weld 7 of the workpiece 8 , while the other part of the laser beam 11 is absorbed by the surface 31 of the laser beam collector 30 . Depending on the speed of the welding feeds and the speed of the rotation of the optical system 20 , the beam power in the welding point changes in the weld seam inlet or outlet until the laser beam 10 impinges on the welding point 17 with its full beam power. The workpiece 8 is then processed with the full beam power until the laser beam 10 reaches the welding point 17 at the weld seam outlet. The laser beam 10 travels through the end edge 32 until it hits the surface 31 of the laser beam collector 30 with its full beam power. The optical system is then rotated about the axis of rotation 22 until the laser beam 10 reaches the end edge 33 and strikes the weld 18 , as described above.
In FIGS. 3 and 4, a device 12 is shown for the welding of end seams. The same components are provided with the same reference symbols.
In contrast to the exemplary embodiment described above, the optical system 20 has an additional reflector 35 , with which the laser beam 10 deflected by 90 ° strikes the parabolic mirror 21 and is deflected and focused again by 90 °. In this exemplary embodiment, the surface 31 of the laser beam receiver 30 is arranged horizontally to the focused laser beam 10 striking the workpiece 8 and traverses its end edges 32 , 33 one after the other for the above-described change in the beam power at the welding points in the weld seam inlet or weld seam outlet.
Of course, it is also possible to arrange the laser 11 horizontally, so that the laser beam has to be deflected again by 90 ° by means of a reflector.
