Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an adsorber for the treatment of Exhaust gas using a granular adsorbent that gravity through a container moved, in which several gas channels open at the bottom, the gas channels being vertical in at least two spaced planes are arranged and the gas channels a lower level to an exhaust gas inlet and the Gas channels of a respective upper level to one Clean gas outlet are connected and the longitudinal axes of the Gas channels run parallel to each other in each level.
Such adsorbers are used, for example, to Exhaust gases containing hydrogen fluoride, which, for example, during Firing process occur in the brick industry, too clean. Lime chippings are used here as adsorbents used.
In the reference "Milling technology internship", Leo Hopf, vol. I milling, Hugo Matthaes Verlag Stuttgart, 1950, pages 222 to 231 is a dryer with a such arrangement of the gas channels described. All Gas channels run parallel to each other here. In the The individual gas levels are on top of each other offset so that the gas channels at each level close to gap the gas channels of the neighboring level are arranged. Half of the gas channels are at the gas inlet connected. The other half of the gas channels is on the Gas outlet connected. Such a system is also in the reference "Handbuch des Müllers", 9. Edition, 1936, publisher: MIAG, Braunschweig, pages 61 and 71.
In DE-PS 5 61 899 is a device for execution of reactions between different types of gases or Steaming and a finely divided, solid material described. It's here in the regeneration room roof-shaped fixtures provided one above the other are staggered. A gas cleaner with roof-shaped hordes in groups against each other are offset is also described in DE-PS 2 18 636.
Furthermore, from DE-PS 33 44 571 Adsorption system of the type mentioned is known. Here, too, are the gas channels of the individual rows offset, with half of the gas channels to the Exhaust gas inlet and the other half of the gas channels to the Clean gas outlet are connected.
When moving the gas channels of the individual levels against each other remain in the one in the container Adsorbent Zones of the adsorbent that are extend continuously through the container and hardly are flowed through by the gas.
The object of the invention is an adsorber of the beginning to propose the type in which contact between the adsorbent and the one flowing through it Exhaust gas is improved.
According to the invention, the above object is achieved in that the Longitudinal axes of the gas channels of a plane are the longitudinal axes of the Gas channels of the neighboring plane at an angle of approximately 90 ° cross.
In this arrangement, the dead zones are not are gas-flowed, downsized and in particular they do not extend continuously parallel to the Gas channels. This reduction in the volumes of the dead zones improves the contact of the exhaust gas with the Adsorbent. Because that in the area of gas channels each available adsorbent flows largely through the gas to be cleaned. In addition, the reduction in dead zones allows for comparatively same performance a reduction in Size of the adsorber. This is essential as such Adsorbers are often installed later and in such cases the available installation space are often cramped.
Another advantage of the arrangement of the invention Gas channels is that the exhaust gas inlet and the Clean gas outlet not on opposite sides of the Container, but on two adjacent sides lie. This allows one to be available at each standing space adapted arrangement of the exhaust gas inlet and the clean gas outlet.
Furthermore, due to the crossed arrangement of the gas channels the structural stability of the container is increased. Because the crossed gas channels themselves contribute to the stabilization of the Container, so that otherwise necessary Stabilization measures can be omitted.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sum is the cross-sectional areas of the exhaust gas inlet connected gas channels smaller than the sum of the Cross-sectional areas of the at the clean gas outlet connected gas channels. This means that Adsorbent a reduction in Exhaust gas flow rate reached. The one with it connected extension of the contact time between the Adsorbent flowing through exhaust gas and Adsorbent also represents an improvement in Contact between the adsorbent and the exhaust gas This also enables a reduction in Size of the reactor tank at comparatively same performance.
The sum of the volumes is preferably also that of the other Exhaust gas inlet connected gas channels smaller than that Sum of the volumes at the clean gas outlet connected gas channels.
Fig. 2 und Fig. 3) übereinander angeordnet. In an adsorber, a plurality of modules (1) (see. Fig. 2 and Fig. 3) arranged one above the other. A device known per se for filling the adsorber with adsorbent, for example lime chippings, is arranged above the uppermost structural unit ( 1 ). A discharge device, for example a chute, is provided under the lowest structural unit ( 1 ), with which used adsorbent is drawn off from the adsorber.
The outer walls ( 2, 4 ) are longer than the outer walls ( 3, 5 ). Between the opposite outer walls ( 2, 4 ) several, in the example case nine, gas channels ( 7 ) run in a lower, vertical plane ( 6 ). Between the outer walls ( 3, 5 ) run in a vertical plane ( 8 ), which lies above the lower level ( 6 ), several, in the example case six, gas channels ( 9 ). The number of gas channels ( 9 ) is smaller than the number of gas channels ( 7 ). The gas channels ( 7 ) of the lower level ( 6 ) cross the gas channels ( 9 ) of the upper level ( 8 ) at an angle of 90 °.
Each gas channel ( 7, 9 ) is formed by a sheet metal part which is shaped in the form of a roof ( 7 ' or 9' ) and an apron ( 7 '' or 9 '' ). The gas channels ( 7, 9 ) are open at the bottom.
Between the skirts ( 9 '' ) of the gas channels ( 9 ) and the roofs ( 7 ' ) of the gas channels ( 7 ) there is a clear distance (a) , which is dimensioned such that due to the angle of repose of the granular adsorbent between the gas channels ( 7, 9 ) sets a continuous layer of the adsorbent, which is not interrupted even in the crossing areas of the gas channels ( 7, 9 ).
The free cross section of each gas channel ( 7 ) is smaller than the free cross section of each gas channel ( 9 ). In addition, the sum of the cross sections of all gas channels ( 7 ) of the lower level ( 6 ) is smaller than the sum of the cross sections of all gas channels ( 9 ) of the upper level ( 8 ). Since the gas channels ( 9 ) are longer than the gas channels ( 7 ), the sum of the volumes of all gas channels ( 7 ) is also smaller than the sum of the volumes of all gas channels ( 9 ).
An opening ( 10 ) is provided on the outer wall ( 2 ) for each gas channel ( 7 ). The openings ( 10 ) have the profile of the shape of the roof ( 7 ' ). You are limited below by an arc ( 10 ' ). The outer wall ( 4 ) is closed throughout.
The adjacent to the outer wall (2) outer wall (3) has an opening (11) for each gas channel (9). Their cross-section corresponds to the shape of the roof ( 9 ' ), wherein it is limited below by an arc ( 11' ). The radius of the arc ( 11 ' ) is smaller than that of the arc ( 10' ). The free cross section of each opening ( 11 ) is larger than the free cross section of each opening ( 10 ). The sum of the cross sections of the openings ( 11 ) is greater than the sum of the cross sections of the openings ( 10 ). The outer wall ( 5 ) is closed.
A hood ( 12 ), which is connected to an exhaust pipe ( 13 ), is arranged in front of the outer walls ( 2 ) of all structural units ( 1 ) provided with the openings ( 10 ). A hood ( 14 ), to which a clean gas line ( 15 ) is connected, is arranged in front of the outer walls ( 3 ) of all structural units ( 1 ) provided with the openings ( 11 ).
In each of the units ( 1 ) there is a distance (b) between the skirts ( 7 '' ) and the lower edge of the unit ( 1 ) . There is a distance (c) between the upper unit and the roofs ( 9 ' ) . The sum of the distances (b, c) is essentially the same as the distance (a) . As a result, the layer of the adsorbent above the gas channels ( 7 ) is thicker than the layer below the gas channels ( 7 ).
The adsorber is easy to assemble. The structural units ( 1 ) are self-supporting and dimensionally stable components as a result of the crossed gas channels ( 7, 9 ), which are placed one above the other in the appropriate number and flanged together, so that the outer walls ( 2 to 5 ) form the container of the adsorber for the adsorbent . The hoods ( 12, 14 ) are then mounted on the outer walls ( 2, 3 ).
Depending on the local conditions, the openings ( 11 ) of the gas channels ( 9 ) can instead also be provided on the outer wall ( 5 ). The outer wall ( 3 ) is then closed. The hood ( 14 ) is then mounted in front of the outer walls ( 5 ). The same applies with regard to the openings ( 10 ) of the outer wall ( 2 ). These can also be provided on the outer wall ( 4 ). The hood ( 12 ) is then mounted there. This means that construction options that can be adapted to the application are achieved.
Die Funktionsweise des beschriebenen Adsorbers ist etwa folgende:The operation of the adsorber described is approximately the following:
The adsorber is filled with granular adsorbent from above. This fills the spaces between the gas channels ( 7, 9 ). Exhaust gas to be cleaned is then supplied to the gas channels ( 7 ) via the exhaust line ( 13 ), the hood ( 12 ) and the openings ( 10 ). The exhaust gas exits from the gas channels ( 7 ) at the bottom and flows through the adsorbent in the direction of the arrows (G) in the direction of the gas channels ( 9 ), in which the exhaust gas cleaned by the adsorbent collects as clean gas. Since the gas channels ( 9 ) cross the gas channels ( 7 ), there are a large number of flow paths of the gas through the adsorbent, with virtually no dead times remaining in the adsorbent between the gas channels ( 7, 9 ), which are not traversed by the gas. The crossed arrangement ensures that gas flows from each gas channel ( 7 ) in each of the gas channels ( 9 ). This results in an extremely even flow through the adsorbent. This is supported by the fact that the exhaust gas flows out of more gas channels ( 7 ) than it is collected in gas channels ( 9 ). Overall, a large-area contact between the exhaust gas flow and the adsorbent is achieved.
In the device described, it is also achieved that the flow velocity in the gas channels ( 9 ) on the clean gas side is lower than in the gas channels ( 7 ) on the exhaust gas side. This results in a reduction in the flow rate of the exhaust gas in the adsorbent. This increases the residence time, ie the reaction time, of the amount of gas flowing through the adsorbent.
After a certain operating time, which corresponds to the absorption capacity of the adsorbent for the pollutants of the exhaust gas, the adsorbent used is discontinuously discharged from the bottom of the adsorber, for example by means of a chute. This moves unused adsorbent between the gas channels ( 7, 9 ). The rate of discharge is measured approximately according to the consumption of the adsorbent.
